Someone on SORR boards said that all you get is an extra life. To unlock Volleyball you have to buy it from the store.
Also for the time bomb section at the end of SOR3 route I do believe it is random rooms. I explored each room one floor below the start and found nothing and then blew up and a friend of mine found the control panel in the center room on that floor when he played. I think it was stupid to make this part random because sometimes it can pretty much be impossible… but you can get around this by doing ctrl+x right before the time runs out, you will go back to the start of this section when you reopen the game. EDIT Nevermind because it actually remembers the time you had left… ugh.
Anyway I’m playing as Adam and I’m having tons of fun with this. But I came in here to post how I just had the coolest moment. We all know the crazy jacket dudes that slide at you and love to throw you? Yeah well I was gripping one of them from the front and another goes to slide at me and instinctively I just hit jump to flip over the man I was grabbing to suplex the guy. It was so freaking cool. I have just never done that before!
Only got to play a little bit of it so far but this game is the shit. Everything a SoR fan could ask for. Feel like I’m playing back on my Genesis in the 90’s. Wish they wouldn’t have changed around some of the OST though since I like some of V4’s better but oh well. Also wish you could play this online with friends. That would’ve been a deal sealer.
Hmmm… well I can tell you what I did. Just plugged in my PS3 via USB and waited for all the motioninjoy drivers to be found/install, then opened up DS3 and it should say that the Dualshock is the controller connected after a second. I just selected the Playstation 1 mode option since I don’t play with the analogs. After that you can click on the “game controller test” button at the bottom, then click on properties and you can test it to see if it’s working. You should see the buttons light up on the test screen and the “+” move around when you move the d-pad. Can’t remember if you have to hit the “enable” button or not that’s at the bottom as well. You might have to. If the buttons are lighting up and you’re seeing d-pad movement, you should be able to play with it. Not sure what the issue is.
Motioninjoy will solve all your problems. Been using those drivers for a couple years, now. Just recently, devs have it to where you can hook up to your laptop/computer via bluetooth adapter. I suggest you buy this one from Dealextreme:
That’s the exact same one I have at this moment, and works like a charm. The Motioninjoy drivers let you emulate a PS2 controller, PS3 (obviously), and even a 360 controller, for those pesky Games for Windows games. Yeah, the bluetooth dongle will be shipped from HK, but you can either wait a week or so for it to ship over, or pay $10-$20 in-store. Motioninjoy drivers are FINALLY signed, so you won’t have to worry about disabling driver signature verification if you’re on a 64-bit system, like myself. You can also just connect to your PC with the PS3 charge cable, if you wish.
^Word, I just ran into to her for the 1st time and that bitch took like 5 lives from me. Not to mention I just ended up with the wackest ending AND didn’t get any points to spend because:
Dumb shit
[details=Spoiler] Apparently some time in the morning Blaze falls asleep at the shop and you can’t buy anything. They only give you the option to try to steal while you’re there. I tried leaving and coming back several times, hoping she would wake up until I said fuck it and just tried to steal what I came for. This bitch INSTANTLY wakes up, calls me a thief and now I’m barred from the shop.
So… I play through the game again and get all the way to Robo X (first time taking this path). After beating him he says there’s a bomb that’ll explode in three minutes. THEN you have to go through the stupid area from SOR3 with the elevator and trap rooms and try to find the control panel to destroy. The problem with this is: YOU HAVE EXACTLY 3 MINUTES TO DO THIS. The timer NEVER stops (in SOR3 it would stop whenever you entered a trap room). So I search through 3 rooms, each with enemies you have to defeat to exit, and don’t find the controls. Each time I leave a room I have to defeat 3 MORE enemies before I can proceed. The 4th room I searched has the controls, but by then the timer is down to like 6 seconds. I run out of time while trying to destroy the controls, the building explodes and we’re all fucking dead. THE END (That’s wack as fuck, I didn’t even lose a continue)
Then when it gets to the cash/points screen it shows I earned about $105000 (not too shabby). HOWEVER, Blaze’s bitch ass shows up and CLAIMS ALL OF MY POINTS and says I can visit the shop again now that my debt is repaid. So I wind up with NOTHING. [/details]
SUCH Bullshit! The game’s normal mode is already hard as fuck (arguably harder than the SOR games’ “Very Hard” modes). I didn’t need to get trolled on top of that.
This game would be perfect for me, if the designer(s) weren’t so damn sadistic.
