It has 5 new characters, it couldn’t be simply a balance patch for 2nd Impact. And the new characters were the less balanced, Chun and Makoto are among the strongest in the game and Twelve and Remy are among the weakest. Those 5 characters never got balanced.

I guess my definition of a balance patch is a little different. I consider AE a balance patch for SSF4. And in the case of 3rd strike Ibuki and Sean got nerfed big time. Sean’s damage output was crazee~ and Ibuki’s Hashinsho was amazing to say the least. Though I see what you mean 3rd strike didn’t get a balance patch which was regrettable, but I played Ibuki and Koto so I was happy lol.

I’m spending some time just being single after my ugly breakup with Hugo. But that Abel guy…we’ve been hanging out a lot lately and just. I mean. He’s kind of cool, is all.

Come on, they made Yun and Yang broken on purpose. Maybe even 3S Chun-Li is broken because they wanted her to be very strong, because she’s an old character and fans wanted to play her in SF III too etc etc.

That is the sad truth for AE. They messed up the balance ON PURPOSE, and had to apologize later. Go figure what’s happening in the Capcom balance department, but I really lost any faith when I saw what they did to Deejay’s lk Sobat airborn state with NO reason at all.

I didn’t sell SFxT because I got my money for BO2, I might try to give the game a second chance when the patch arrives.

Again, gotta hold those hands and get people to play the game how it’s supposed to be played. Some of us figured it out ourselves: 1 SF character + 1 Tekken character = SFxT. They work well together. That’s intentional.

And, quite frankly, the Tekken characters are much more interesting than the 21 year old SF characters. The more we see of them, as far as I’m concerned, the better. Capcom knows this. Again, they aren’t stupid.

True enough but they nerfed Guile iirc and took out some of Chun Li’s infinites (SF4).In 3S they nerfed Sean and took out Ibuki’s Hashinso. Although you are right they did create a few monsters lol.

Anyways I hope they make the tekken cast actually viable - not neutered and not op.

You can choose whomever you want. This isn’t Marvel 3.

However, some character combinations will work better than others. That’s just a fact.

If you want to pick characters that have no synergy with each other, go for it. You can still win.

But, characters with synergy are maximizing what this game has to offer.

You’re assuming that the only teams that can have synergy are teams with 1 SF character and 1 Tekken character. Which is pretty silly.

Ryan Hunter (Julia/Steve), Sethlolol (Law/Kuma), Alioune (Jack-X/Lili), chaos limit (Kazuya/Nina) and myself (Yoshimitsu/Christie) all play only Tekken characters and these teams all have good synergy. And these teams would not necessarily be better if they had a street fighter character in it.

Can we please wait to try the damn thing or see some more stuff before we accuse Capcom of not knowing what they are doing? I mean AE2012 (IMO) is probably best version of SSF4 behind MAYBE Vanilla SuperSF4, but that may just be nostalgia talking. I’m willing to wait and see, I bet Tekken side is gonna be very, very interesting to see and things will balance out in the end. Plus there are more system changes coming.

I hope there are some Location tests so we can get a grasp of some of these the changes and see how drastic they truly are in the grand scheme of things.

Edit: I have a feeling Kazuya gonna get some nasty nerfs for some reason.
