been playing for a couple of hours now on it and have to say the angled surface is awkward to have on the stick side -_-. the side of my left hand feels cramped/sore having had to rest it on the angled surface. I think for the area around the stick i need a level surface to rest my whole hand on. idk, i might go back to using a regular TE. and no i dont have crazy- gorilla hands, i imagine most people are gonna run into this problem.
Sorry to hear that. I usually play similar to pic #2 (in your link) & prefer the angled wrist rest area. Have you used a V3-SA or a VLX? If so then is it the same angle as those? PM/conversation me a price shipped if you decide to sell.
Are these individually numbered since theyāre only making 1000 of them?
they are numbered- mine is like 900- something of 1000. Thereās a silver sticker centered on the bottom plate with its official number in the series. thanks for the offer, but gonna keep trying, but if it doesnt work out iāll keep it as a guest stick- hehe!
Just received mineā¦itās clearly used. Box wasnāt sealed, scratches all over it, buttons are even worn. Screw in the back isnāt flush (itās almost sideways). Needless to say, Iām a little pissed right now.
that stinks! maybe it was used for the booths at the trade shows , E3 and such.
I had a simular thing happen w/ my TE. It was just a few scratches on the bottom, but i never contacted them for a swap b/c at the time they were hard to come by and i didnt want to wait a long time for a fresh stick. I hope madcatz straightens it out for you soon.
That stinks. Iām sure that Markman can work something out with you. Iām surprised that the stick was in that type of condition. I hope the rest of them arenāt like that.
It has me a bit worried too. I wonāt be able to take a look at mine until later today⦠I really would think Madcatz would be a little more professional and not sell these items as new ā maybe it was a huge mistake?
Human error. Someone probably packaged some sticks that were originally used for demo purposes or trade shows. Well, weāll see when we get them. I have ordered a stick from Madcatz before with no issues to report. I honestly believe that we, as consumers, will be taken care of and if a stick is found not to be in satisfactory condition, we can return it for another one. The only issue I can think of is the numbering of the stick. Since 1,000 are made, I hope there are some left.
The reason for any of my fears isnāt due to lack of customer care in the result of an issue, but simply finding out at this late of a stage. Thatās definitely an issue and I would like to assume that Madcatz would not be repacking for sale intentionally. I went through the whole SE stick debacle upon release and I was taken care of quite well ā but the rarity of the sticks made the process that much harder.
You can probably confirm if your stick was originally a demo stick by the production number on the back, Iād presume that the demo sticks were all first batch and as such have a very low number.
Looks like the nut is in-between the white plastic housing and the metal plate instead of above the plastic. Hopefully its as simple as moving to the other side of the plastic. Weāll find out in an hour or so once my son goes to bed.
