Street Fighter X Tekken Arcade FightStick PRO - Official Thread

sweet, my stick got shipped on wed, getting it friday! (I preordered over the weekend).

My stick also got shipped out on Wednesday so it should be at my apartment in a week; hopefully along with my white sanwa OBSC-30 buttons.

As I postulated before I’m sure that’s the case to get to the main pcb unless you have a right angled screwdriver which I’m not sure if that even exists. Although you may be able to just cut the plastic section out that’s above the pcb to gain access. Then you could just screw the pcb on top of the white panel somewhere and whatever pcb you use to dual mod although if you use the toodles chimp boards I see a large issue already. The pcb with the home button is now upside down in since the stick is opened from the rear instead of frontside. Which you need access to if you wanna solder to the home button so that when you dual mod you dont have to hit start/back for home on the ps3*if you use toodles chimps other pcbs I’m clueless. Although I’m fairly certain if you cut the section out unscrew the pcb and use a toodles tes kitty kit your stick will be good to go.

Also attempting to bypass a warranty sticker probably isn’t something to talk about in the thread an employee for the corporation your trying to circumvent probably isn’t the greatest idea. Besides it would be pretty obvious if you messed with anything inside btw.

I wonder how I am going to get to that PCB in the stick…gotta call Tim ā€œThe Toolmanā€ Taylor.

It’s just kinda sad that with previous TE sticks all you need to do is remove 6 hex bolts and you have immediate access to near everything. This PRO clearly hasn’t been designed with modding in mind (which is fair enough from a company viewpoint), though as it’s only a limited edition hopefully this sort of design won’t be followed in the future.

Again, it’s a sad state of affairs when you need to invalidate a warranty just to replace a button or joystick. Or even re-attach a loose QD.

Ho hum…

But… but… this is Tech Talk, voiding the warranty is the first thing we recommend to anyone buying a stick.

Seriously though, you want a stick that you can mod without voiding the warranty? Get a TE. I mean it’s not like the PRO is replacing the TE (no, it’s not, Mark said so himself).

Are we sure the PCB in this one is the same as the Chun TE S?

I believe Mark has stated as much.

An extra 9 or 10 screws isn’t going to scare me off or deter me from modding this. Bring it on Markman!

Where? I never saw him say so…

IIRC, Markman confirmed the Chun style pcb inside the MLG stick, not sure if he’s said what comes with the Fightstick Pro (unless I missed it in a Twitter update)

I just need to know because I want to get one of these, but I bought 4 of the early TEs and two had the weird roundhouse dropping out problem every now and then.

I bought 2. Markman I got something special for you coming.

Hmm. Not feeling the red. Also doesn’t look like it has as much flat space to rest your wrist like the regular TE and TE-S sticks. Looks almost like a Hori stick with the steep angled part at the bottom. I probably will still pick one up just for collections sake.

woot! just got mine- the angled surface feels pretty good so far and the stick overall is heavier than i imagined it would be ( good thing for me). Probably gonna put in an octagonal gate sometime. Not revolutionary from the TE but its pretty nice!

Yeah, I prefer the angled wrist rest area (like a Hori V3-SA & VLX) since it feels more comfy. Is this the same or heavier than a TE? Thanks!

lighter for sure, but still enough heft to it that it wont slide around during play.

Thanks for the info!

MarkMan, what’s the weight of this bad boy?

I absolutely cannot wait to get my stick. Ordered it with 2-Day shipping and should get it Friday. It will be my first Pro/TE, current stick is a swapped out and painted SE. I am totally digging the aesthetics on this stick, but painting it definitely seems to be a tad more difficult than the SE. I will probably replace the art with something a little more custom at the very least, however the current art on it is definitely an improvement over the SF4 (Chun-Li Excluded) artwork.

This stick looks awesome. I was trying to order it from the gameshark canada store but the srkdotcom discount code doesnt seem to work. anyone know why that is?
thanks
