Just to put this into perspective, a single episode of Breaking Bad on average cost the producers $3M, Big Bang Theory $2M, Game of Thrones cost around $5 - $10M per episode, the wigs used in Game of Thrones can cost up to $7,000 each.
The entire budget for SFAF was a little over $2M.

Is this truly accepted? Even within the Official SF storyline thread? I havenāt been around that thread at all here, but those peeps are the ones working on the Canon Guide of SF.
If Udon does in fact have say in the Canonā¦then GG to the storyline already. I already started to despise the path in which the SF the storyline was heading into in contrast to what it originally was years ago. SNH at the beginning was not something entirely evil, but just the purest form of Ansatsuken with the willingness to Kill an Opponent if necessary to achieve victory, in which allowed a practitioner to tap into SNH because of this. Ryu not being āEvilā when utilizing SNH, but simply with the pure intent to Kill if it means winning. Now a days his SNH Ryu is waay too Devil Jin like.
The whole Oni thing already lowered Gouki in my opinion, because before the entire Oni thing ever took place, Gouki was that super ridiculous because it was purely on his philosophy, training, and supreme mastery of the Ansatsuken, and more importantly he is always 100% in control at everything that he does, not because of some possession or whatever have you, which makes it so boring. Shin Gouki will always be 100x more appealing to me then the Oni persona.
The original concepts was the reason why I loved the SF storyline as opposed to the Tekken storyline, because some of the strongest in the SF world, Gouki, Ryu, Sagat etc, were not āgivenā trump cards but achieved their level of dominance through sheer training, experience and determination. In Tekken, Jin Kazama is already powerful through training, but because of the Devil Gene it automatically throws him up into Super Elite Status literally for free.
Iām hoping that when SF5 comes out, that theyāll have thrown away the entire nonsense of Evil Ryu, and set Ryu on the path that was on in SF3 already in which he has surpassed his SNH counterpart and even equaled him in strength and capability & the same with Oni for Gouki.
Sorry if I detracted a little bit, however it seems like people were talking about this, while I was gone and I just wanted to state my opinion on the matter. Yes, this is also one of the gripes I had about SF:AF the persona of making SNH looking like itās a personification of evil or pushing it to that sense, but I guess this is the path that Capcom official is going if thatās the case? Yuck.
The SF4 plot in general felt a bit tooā¦fan fic with all the returning characters and nonsensical plot points.
Capcom was better off with minor details and letting the players speculate on their own.
Akuma did evil things though because of his dark pursuit. I think itās implied that heās just a killer plain and simple if you get in his way. His philosophy clashes with that of most modern warriors. This killers instinct has no place in the world today. Itās a threat to people.
I mean heās not Dictator evil of course. Iāll always remember that art where Akuma is giving a poor kid an orange.
I think itās an evil based on a case by case basis I think. To Goki it was ok to kill Gouken although clearly Ryu, Ken, Goutetsu, and everyone else would disagree.
So is Akumaās murdering lifestyle justified?

And yes SF4 is a poorly written fan fic. I too sincerely hope that SFV picks up where 3S left off.
