IIRC in the comics, Ken loses his headband fighting Ryu who cut his hair with a tatsu. Anything relating to SF Alpha has Ken and Ryu sporting their SFII look with Chun Li sporting her Alpha look. A lot of the Udon comics seems to follow the canon correctly but a good amount is skipped over. They either skipped Alpha or redid it their own way.

Based on Alpha 2, Ken gives his headband to Ryu when he finds the latter distracted due to awakening the SNH while fighting Sagat.

Also, Ken witnessed Gouki killing Gouken. Personally hope they put this in season 2 with Ken honoring his dead master by keeping his promise never to use the SNH despite having a more direct reason to tap into it than Ryu.

This is my first time performing it after memorizing it from a video Joey Ansah sent me. I had to work hard to tweak my technique so it didn’t end up looking like a taekwondo form like it does here!

the exchanges are real fight-y so it’s not always just one at a time so i’ll do 3 tiny bits i picked out randomly

firstly, you will see ken doing a lot of any of these. like. all the time. dude loves him some crazy kicks and they’re basically his signature normals unique to him which is awesome:

in ryu’s punching section he is basically going through all his standing punch buttons (jabs into sf2 mp into sfa mp into 3s st.fierce), it’s pretty funny

Am I the only one who finds the gloves weird and “cosplay-ish”, especially after SFIV made them look like actual MMA gloves with proper knuckle padding?

yes. I really hate the MMA gloves look, even if they are more practical. There is very little in SF4 that I like aesthetically.

An improvement for the 2nd season would be making the gloves from leather, it will give the gloves a higher quality appearance.

Goutetsu thought Gouki was SF Akuma, but he’s actually MvC3 Akuma and his raging demon can go through fireballs .
you can get punished if you do that raw metsu hado anyway, pffft scrub Goutetsu.
