Fatal fury has a better story then SF and is overall a bit more developed. It would easily transition to a quality series like this. If they ever did a live action KOF though the series would need to start with AOF1 since Iâm certain thatâs where it all starts.
kinda disagree, i like the whole realistic ethos behind SF, though if i had to choose a film adaption of any fighting game it would have to be Final Fight, that was a badass 80s movie that was waiting to happen but never did
Youâre wrong. Orochi saga and the story of the bloodline feud that pitted the Kusanagi and Yagami families against each other is compelling stuff and would make for a great story to anchor a movie in.
The FF mythos is literally just about 2 brothers wanting revenge on the local crime lord for the murder of their father. You could technically remove all the supernatural elements off from FF and just make it a slick martial arts series. SF on the other hand is deeply wrapped in the supernatural and very eccentric designs and plot elements.
Iâm not really seeing whats wrong with it
Bison is a the leader of a super power criminal organization that he controls with evil martial arts, alongside a toreador ninja and mike tyson.
Bison has more cheese still just by virtues that SF is centralized around their mystic powers. Rugal doesnât need to have powers to explain his abilitiesâŚand for that matter neither do most KOF characters.
Wouldnt work as well live action, check this out heres the basic rundown on each other villians
Bison: trained for years as a MA prodigy and also mastering his Psycho Power (basically pulled a Akuma)
He was utterly evil, purge himself of good (created Rose) and started taking over organised crime in Asia
Story branches 2 ways - he either seeks Ryu as his new right hand man to replace sagat/ seeks Ryu to use his body to reach his next level of PP
He is basically like a mexican drug narco/ thai golden triangle baron only putting his B into adv weapons and has a black belt.
Rugal: Was an arms dealer, unexplictly a major bad ass in the art of smashing niggas
flaunts an aircraft carrier (like the US navy would be cool with this huge fucking pirate ship) and uses it as a museum of said smashed niggas
Has no interests in nothing, fights the strongest fighters alive the same way we need to sometimes scratch our balls
Has only 2 interesting points in his history, when he smoked Heiderns base, (gaining the wrath of the ikari warriors) and getting his Orochi hookup from Goenitz.
Now am totally cool with KOF love the games as much as SF, but story wise going into live action, theres just some things you can pull of easier on the big screen and not have it look like total ass.
his personality is more joe higashiâŚbut i can see terryâŚespecially in that pic above.
the biggest problem with thatâŚis that storyline is running on fucking 2 decades. its so convoluted at this pointâŚdemonsâŚclonesâŚblood fueds. shit makes the mishimaâs look like a tyler perry movie squabble.
canon wise ryu and ken had already completed their training when they left correct?
cause the new series in theory implies due to akumaâs interference they might have been kicked out and rushed before their training was truly done. especially with the fact ryu was never taught any ways to deal wit his dark hadouâŚunless thats an extra scene.
seems a bit odd to kick this nigga out the door without any real instructionsâŚoh you tapped into a primal potentially demonic like force?..dats coolâŚtime to leave son lol.
itd be interesting if they pushed the idea their training wasnt completeâŚespecially with dealing with the street fighters.
common Maxx you know fine well that Ryus whole bag is just that, his training is never complete. His entire mantra is training to become better and master the hadou, Gouken kicking him out the door after teaching him all the fundamentals wouldnt change nothing.
Think about it, if Ken didnt learn everything he needed from Gouken then how do you explain Sean is the most powerful Ansatsuken practitioner?
is sean? i dont know much about him, i havent seen too much written about his actual success outside of brazilian version of sakura hunting ken down. also that would be canon wise. im talking how the direction of this series is going. sf canon wise i always thought the training was complete before gouken died.
im just talking purely this sf series. they changed alot of stuff canon wise, so it gave off this implication they werent actually done with training. especially when the butler gives the sensei the nod like âniggas got to goâ.
