@maxx I think the only logical conclusion to make at this stage is that akuma fathered ryu after his transformation, so ryu is like erm… fucking mishima knock off
Akuma passed it on. [/Kappa]
Ryu is the choosen one
The choosen one who is supposed to heir the satsui no hado and take it into another level!
Watch as Ryu is revealed to be the descendeant of not Gouki, but the first Satsui no Hadou user
what is this naruto??
lol@ rewatching episode 11…lol this dude was giving out basic pointers to play street fighter. hahahaha.
Ryu’s situation could be something as simple as lingering demonic forces that were left behind or became attracted to the dojo because of Gouki.
Also, the last scene of the series with Gouken… I think his sadness/tears are more than because of Ken and Ryu leaving. He probably knows that he will eventually have to face Gouki, and that he might not live either, thus never being able to see his students again.
I made a couple of wallpapers

Because Ryu bottles stuff up inside. From what we’ve seen, he doesn’t seem to be the type to openly express negative emotion. In other words, he’s got years of pent up negativity bottled up inside him like a soda bottle that’s been shaken and is just waiting for someone to pop it.
Ken on the other hand openly expresses negative emotions (such as getting pissed with his dad, as well as the crazy old fisherman). Add to the fact that he works out most of his frustrations through the course of the series and you can see why he’s not as susceptible.
EDIT: Watching it again, I noticed something in episode 5 that kinda bothers me.
Does the dojo really have no back wall?

lol I noticed that too
Check out the aerial photo I posted earlier, that might give you a good idea of the layout
Ah looks like that shot is from the far side of this photo
Seems like it’s something they overlooked, or thoughts didn’t really detract from the scene.
Or it just wasn’t in the budget.
At first glance I thought it was just an area to look at outside.
For me, Ryu’s actor: Mike Moh, being Kamen Rider Axe made me smile. Loved this whole series. Can’t wait for the DVD, and more more more
Soundtrack dropped the same day - http://www.streetfighteraf.com/official-sound-track/
The track itself will appear on the Volume 2 album which will be released around the same time as the DVD/Bluray
I think Ryu simply tapped into SNH through an over whelming desire to win. The next time i thappens is when he is about to lose to Sagat in the first Street Fighter tournament. He pulls the exact same scrub tactic of Shoryukening his opponent after they think the fight is over. He wants to win and the desire to do so is so strong it digs up a dark, evil desire within him.

We just hit 400k likes on FB
The guy that plays Ken would probably make a great Terry Bogard too, just sayin…
Great series tho. Will be buying the DVDs
I just need my dark blue gi and I can look swag while practicing my SNH katas. Get me a hook up Furious One.
ETA on season two?
Oh shit! With that jacket on in that last photo there he totally does look like it! Hahah oh man.
~K.
Yeah, I saw the jacket and immediately thought of Terry. And there’s goes a free idea after they’ve finished with the SF series
Fatal Fury (or Kof)
