I think it would be 10x better if they just took off the “tornado” effect after the 2nd hit. First hit confirms the ultra, He spins around like a super hard lk tatsu which launches them up, then he does his version of a dragon kick. But then again, that might be too much like the end of Fei Long’s ultra. KKZ plz k thx.
It doesn’t have as good of a chance, since the start-up is super slow, whiffs on crouching opponents, and can’t be used as an anti-air. The cards are not in its favor.
It is final. if you think they’ll change it much at this point, I believe you’re wrong. The design itself of the Ultra will remain, only frame, hitbox and dmg tweaks will happen now. At least I believe so.

Here is what they should have done.
-Increase start up of fs.LP by one frame, removing the loop, and making fs.LP, cr.HK a one frame link. The HK is already balanced as is. Its use is very limited against most of the cast. It doesn’t need a nerf, and it’s crucial to Akuma for use in combos because it’s his only normal that stands up on hit apart from cr.HP (which has no range and is slow as fuck).
-Fix hit box on cr.HK so LK Tatsu -> cr.HK works on entire cast to compensate for diminished practicality of st.LP, cr.HK.
-Remove/replace roflcopter ultra to avoid Akuma becoming a mockery of his former self.
-Bonus: FUCKING KKZ GOD DAMN IT. THREE FOURTHS OF THE DAMN COMMUNITY IS CLAMORING FOR IT CAPCOM.
I wouldn’t care if its only use was chip damage! I just want an ultra doesn’t make my opponent feel like he should be putting up a sign that says “wabbit season”!

It wouldn’t exactly be rocket science to implement it without any juggle potential, and enough startup to avoid the possibility of a link into it. Its use would be the same as it was in 3s. Chip outs on wake up.

In the current build with all the characters:
You can’t cr.LP cr.LP cr.MP xx Fireball FADC far.HK
You can cr.MK xx Firebal FADC far.HK but it is INCREDIBLY range specific. Like pixel specific. You’d basically be gambling 2 EX bars guessing on it.
You can cr.MP cr,MK xx Fireball FADC far.HK but that’s even more specific. It worked maybe one in 10 times. And never at point blank range.
I’ve got no idea what they have done to the far.HK mechanics to make it hit or not. It defies logic.
Oh yeh and you can combo EX Air Fireball teleport xx Ultra 2. But both have to hit. So good luck landing that in a combo against anyone.
