You can jump in Fireball and buffer 2 up motions so if it hits you can combo into the roflcopter when you land. You can combo ultra off a jump in HK and HP in the same way. Can combo off a counter hit dive kick too. Only the fireball set up is remotely hit confirmable.
Well Im not making any comments until I have SSFIV in my xbox 4 days before it comes out in 4/27/10. Which for the next 2 days all I’m doing is practicing and seeing what they have done to Akuma and how i can benefit from his nerfs.
what i want to know is what percentage of the returning cast, including akuma, is going to geet a new special move to play around with? has anyone heard anything about any of the returning cast getting new moves? or even different normals?
No Scrub Goku Satsu is the real deal lol i’m sure you already know…i was kinda hopin ryu got that kick back but i doubt he’s one of the “few” he was talking about…or was he.
Scrub Goku Satsuuuuuuuuuuuu save us with your divine inside intellect, who are these “few”, you don’t even have to say what the moves are we just want to know WHO get them.
Guess my post was overlooked. Pre-code is out, all characters available (shhh!) and I’ll play it myself this tuesday. The rest of you will have to wait till April :smokin:
I will, partially. I already don’t expect new moves other than the second ultra, and believe that the Akuma-nerfs already posted will be those I can confirm. I’m pretty sure that tweaks/balance is in this code, I’ll know in about 6 hours from now.
Don’t expect that I will confirm any unannounced chars though, or this will be the last time I will play a pre-code from Capcom :smokin:
Sagat is health and power nerfed BUT remains top tier. His ‘scar’ move invokes invulnerability on all his specials.
Ryu is essentially unchanged.
One of the new characters yet to be revealed may well tie with Sagat as top-tier.
Seth is arguably tied with Sagat as top-tier.
While Guile has been reworked, he remains low tier
Gen has slipped and is considered worse. Regular hands has more push-back, nerfing his offensive game
Balrog remains unchanged. His new Ultra invokes 700 stun and ushers in a whole new play-style for him and is very usable
Juri and Cody are the better of the (currently) known new characters. Guy is at the bottom.
Gouken has an Uzi
Akuma has been nerfed by way of his fs.hk.
Adon is very powerful
Vegay has been reworked via pokes and his equipment doesn’t fall off after being farted on.
The game as it stands currently is very promising. The new characters (including those we’re yet to see) are solid competitors and will likely see top-eight tournament use.
Gief’s Seth match-up is going to be even more nightmarish.
That’s my recollection from one listen. Check it out for more details.
The point of me sharing this is to confirm that Akuma’s fs.hk nerfs remain in the current build and are likely set in stone. Start reworking your game gents.
