I only goof around with Akuma for S&Gs, but if I was to suggest any changes for SSFIV, I would say:
Buff:
Comboable ultra, since SGS can be pretty situational. I would say he could have his Messatsu Gou Hado as an ultra, but I would be worried he would just have all of the Ryu set ups (Shoryu FADC, EX Fireball FADC, EX Tatsu in the corner… Hell, he may even have Shakunetsu close to corner for a meterless Ultra if he had an ultra fireball), so the hado may be a bad choice…
Nerf:
More recovery frames on teleport, or it doesn’t go as far. Running away for free when you have the best keep away game is pretty damn weak. If they want to keep his teleport the same, then he needs a few more frames of recovery after an air fireball to slightly nerf his keep away. Neither of these nerfs would make him worse. They would just make him work defensively, just like everyone else.
HE’s perfect as he is now. Any change would make him either a broken character or a useless one.
The only thing they should change is his sandals. Loved those wooden sandals in SF Vs XMen.
Your right on a faster recovery on the Ashura teleport. I also would like to see a comboable ultra but not his SGS but something more of a KKZ or a Air Metsu Hadoken but his normal dive kick can be tweak up a little as well

You understand what I’m talking about. I know his demon dlip is good but his dive kick isn’t good. Hard to combo right after. Also a faster recovery for his sanku would be nice and also his ashura
NO. Leave the teleport as it is. Recovery-frame wise, it’s perfect.
Combo-able super is all he needs, and no, he needs no nerfs to counter for it.

Would be interesting to see Akuma with a counter ultra (as in, the ultra wouldn’t go off unless he was hit during the animation of it). I enjoy the idea of having him with difficult to connect ultra’s to balance out his naturally impressive damage and potential.
Might be too applicable as an anti-air / wake-up tool however.
Me thinks that his foot should be longer. God knows how many times I’ve been kicked in the head by a Ryu/Ken/Sagat/Balrog(not really a kick eh?)/ … okay damn near everyone. Unfortunately for me when I anticipate a fireball, I jump and try to use my j.HK but to no avail because Akuma is 3 foot 2 or some shit. For SSF4 I just want a more reliable SRK (mainly the strong and fierce), a better costume, and possibly 10 more stamina points… please. Also I wish his SRK were a little faster, not like Ryusus(jesus joke) but just faster on recovery because there are plenty of times when I go for a lp shoryu and my opponent has days to retaliate. But just try that shit on Ryu/Ken/Sagat.

So, he can’t run away so effectively. Sometimes people predict the tele, but aren’t able to punish it because it recovers so quick. Adding recovery will only require you to use it intelligently instead just spamming it whenever you’re in doubt.
