without 3f cr lk, and ex hand KD, the chunli matchup is so brutal now, definitely one of the worst matchup in the game. along with akuma, seth, sagat.

and zangief’s combo damage output is too low, he need 30 cr lp and 140 ex hand damage.
his bnb combo doing only around 160 damage is pretty much ridiculous, that’s making the close range guessing game never truly in his favour.

Veggey I agree on your matchups except guile, I feel it´s slight advantage for guile now maybe 5.5-4.5 I play this matchup a lot since super and now it just feels 10 times better, if he didnt´t get KD from booms it would be retarded but we are lucky.

Agreed on Akuma. This weekend was pretty solid evidence of that. Flash and I both got mauled by Tokido, that matchup is ass. I talked to Tokido about it afterwards and he basically said that if he plays that matchup correctly it’s nigh impossible for Gief to win.

Well, he is a character polarized by design so it’s very hard to change that…I’s been like that forever. Maybe some improvements for his terrible matchups could be done but he is always going to have them.
Akuma is not impossible…honestly I just choked I let all the negative shit people were telling me about the match up get into my head the match is 6-4 Akuma at worst its not impossible. I was going through a lot of shit at Evo gaming and non related shit I wasn’t prepared for the finals that day I also didn’t expect a person of his caliber to me a scrub and backdash every single time which was my mistake for letting that happen which is fine he got away with it good shit to him but it wont happen next time. I am gonna be writing a blog about my experience at Evo against all the international players I played a long set with just about every single one of them be on the look out on Option-Select.com

I picked Zangief because he is my character and I have no real akuma experience so I wanted to see what it was gonna be like it was and I picked up a few things but didn’t have 20 minutes to test it in between matches and I realized I couldn’t win at that moment in time so I made the logical choice which was to change. You aren’t the ambassador of Asia I am willing to bet that all those players you dick ride and name drop all the time don’t even know you all I can really say is stay free you are officially not worth my time anymore. I am a Gief player and now youre talking about my biggest flaw as the Gief that got top 8 at the biggest tournament ever was that I didn’t play a different character lol so dumb.

Akuma is not a 6-4 flash, I can´t agree on that with you. He is the matchup I know the most with zangief and I can say pretty convincently it´s a 3-7. Congrats on your top 8 on EVO tho, hope to see more of you in the future and keep the good work!
I really wish the brackets played out differently and I would of faced a Yun/Fei instead of Akuma/Seth so I could make you eat those words oh well maybe next year
