Wow training mode your good a pulling tick ultras playing vs the computer. Just post a vid of you playing someone decent online not hard. Where are you from? Who do you play vs? online only fine just say that.
I remember this guy. He’s the one who used to tell me exgh should only be used in combos back in vanilla.
Those aren’t tachi-720s, those are buffered 720s. And I JUST had a discussion the the Zangief Q&A where I determined those aren’t safe. I’m not saying I’m a great player, if fact I’m saying the opposite - that I’m a newbie and learning. And a newbie determined that video of your’s doesn’t hold up in a real match. Can we stop we the personal stuff on all accounts now?
So I ask again, any news on Zangief in AE? Anything we’ve determined that’s different from what Capcom has announced, or in addition to the changes that we know about?
We have some vids up on the here sadly most of the losing there are wins I have too look for them and post them up.

@grimmjow316 - thanks, but I’ve been following this thread. I was just trying to get the conversation back to Gief and away from personal stuff, whatever the intention on either party. Seeing if there’s anything we haven’t already discussed here.
I tell you what I’d like to know that I haven’t seen discussed (though I may have missed it). The combo that I’ve seen alot of japanese Gief’s using lately is cr.lp, st.lp, st.lk, ex.GH. (if you don’t start with a jump-in you can add another st.lp, depending on spacing) Is that any different between Super and AE? I’ve just about got it down on Super, but it’s a weird kind of buffer where you’ve buffered the GH before you hit short, and almost plink short and 2xPunch. Seems awkward to be the go-to combo, I figure the frames must be different in AE. Or maybe people have just gotten sick of dropping cr.lk x 3 and moved on.
From what I’ve been hearing no changes on his normals I need to get s.mp, s.lk to ex hand that bison match it was sick how fast he pulled it off.
Edit: I would take that first part with a grain of salt if any one has played AE they can answer it.

I hate to feed the trolls, I really do, but this one I couldn’t help. Your video of walk-up 720s included very few actual tachi-720s, and if I had to guess, I’d say they happened by accident when you waited too long for the hitstun to go away while holding forward. This is an actual, intention psuedo-tachi-720 (psuedo because it’s not a real walkup, it’s still buffered into a standing short, unlike the real walking 720s that Hayao does on occasion). And a TKU2, just for lolz. I did this in about 15 minutes, and BP Amoco can kick my ass. I know he can, because he did on Live, many moons ago (I’m down for a rematch man, I’m better now, but still not as good as you) and had the decency to give me some pointers after bodying me.

Did you ever think that he might not do tachi-FABs because…I dunno, it’s not freaking safe!?? Hayao gets away with it because he’s gdlk and reads when his opponents aren’t going to jump and you STILL don’t see him do it that often, because it’s usually a bad thing to do. Even if you can do it with 100% accuracy, it’s too easy to jump out of or counter. You’ve got to know that you’re opponent is going to do something stupid or slow and THEN nail a freaking hard motion. The first two “tick 720’s” you did don’t count man, every character in the game has a move that will eat that for lunch. This ain’t Super Turbo.

that’s only the tool to catch someone unexpectedly sometimes, but it works sometimes and especially at some critical moment
it’s walking because after 3 or 2 attacks, you are out of range, walk forward a bit and you are in the range again.

if it’s a whiffed cr lk ultra, that’s diffierent execution, ye, that’s not walking just like the lst one I did in the first video.
The only normal thats been change is st. hp from eventhubs, which I don’t use. (Haven’t tested it at my local arcade). Other than that, his normals feel the same. As far as if he’s better/worse, imo I think its in the middle. I know the no kd on exgh is a bummer (I feel that you have to do cr. lk 3~4 xx exgh to get the most out of one bar), but the increased range on lp spd is amazing. I posted a couple a videos while back on the video thread. I’ll post them here again =].

i mean, honestly man, there’s everyone against him but he’s providing matches that alot of giefs on here are indeed bad. Sswyu maybe a bit harsh and insensitive but if anything that a person say’s isn’t true about you then why even get mad? i know he’s not trolling but i think the people responding to him, even though it was originally supposed to be him and weaponsleft is asking for them to be exposed. We all have good matches and bad matches, but what determines how respectable a player is, is when they play the match up, adjusting to player, punishing the player for making mistakes and not taking risk that they know is horrible. ?This game has been out for 3yrs and if you still drop cr.lp st.lk combos then you have a problem… OFFLINE ONLY… ONLINE combo consistency only counts when they have a 4 bar connect with trace amounts lag, to the point it won’t affect their gameplay that much.
