If there’s one matchup where current U2 is useful it’s Zangief; it turns the match from “I just need to knock you down once and I win with bodysplash mixups” to “I just need to knock you down three times and I win with bodysplash mixups”.

If he’s OSing body splashes, EX drill shouldn’t be saving you from anything.
they might as well remove srk fadc for everyone and keep it sf2 style, but capcom will never do that.

4 frame startup on Satelitte? Hmmm…I don’t think that will compensate for the nerf unless we can trade with meaties somehow, but it will be nice to play around with.
Here are the changes compiled thus far:
-Rose’s U2 no longer has start-up invincibility.
-Loss of super trap.
-Soul Spark gains less meter.
-Rose’s U2 now has a 4f start-up.
4f startup instead of 7f IMO doesn’t justify much. (still loses to 3f jabbers) But i’m not going to comment so much on it until it’s played around with.
losing the meter gain on SS will hurt a bit. Considering the other nerfs, her meter gain was something that didn’t need to be touched.
Again, Orbs start in 5 frames, not 7. That’s why they can combo in any place that C.Fierce can, which also starts in 5 frames.
It starting in 4 frames could help somewhat, that means she can combo it after c.lk or s.mp. But it confirms that they removed “invincibility” by shortening the ultra freeze window, then adding recovery/delay for the popups.
BTW, Gief’s EX green hand doesn’t knock down, but it’ll be only -2 on block. He gets in for the cost of 1 EX meter.
And big lol on losing the meter gain advantage. It was the only thing good about her fireballs.
That really hurts in the Guile and Sagat fights.
Yeah, that 7f they’re talking about has to be a typo, misinformation, or a change from an earlier AE test.
now capcom has gone and done it, less meter gain, thats what made it worth shooting those terrible recovery lp soul sparks , geez… =/
Yeah seriously Hope they give her shorter recovery on it at least to compensate, but I doubt it. Rose is just sounding worse and worse in this game. Give us a buff already x(

ok I’m slightly disappointed in the meter gain reduction. Some matches I close to never use sparks for, since it’s often asking to get jumped on or hit with ultra. They better do something about the start/recovery to make sparks more worth using.
They’d probably give her invincibility in other stuff.
I have one question, do you guys think we can mash u2 when someone pressure us?
I know meaty attack can break U2 but what about normal attack (not 3frame jab) but other?
