good find obey. i’m really happy with how guy is looking. especially in that dhalsim match. the fact that TC was connecting on dhalsim after a cr. short or a cr. jab means a lot. i could never get TC to hit on sim’s narrow hitbox for anything in super. i also really liked the cr. jab > cl. forward frame trap to take the first round. i’m thinking of stuff like cr. jab/short > cl. forward > cr. short/TC xx whatever. near the beginning of the first round, the first combo guy lands is bushin flip elbow > cr. jab > TC xx jab shoulder. there was no counterhit on the flip elbow. i don’t know if it was because dhalsim was crouching when he got hit by it though. that could most likely be the case.

At 3:31 in the first video the guy player combos a crouch jab from a non-counterhit flip elbow. Correct me if I’m wrong, but doesn’t it only combo on counter-hit in ssf4? It’s not really something you can abuse due to the fact that the flip elbow isn’t an overhead; however, if you catch someone with their pants down you can land a nice clean bnb. Again, my apologies if this was possible in normal ssf4.

The 6 frame gap between Ex Tatsu hits appears to be unchanged. This means that Ex Tatsu will still let some non-safe jump attacks slip right through it. Had a Fei Long jump HK fall right through my Ex Tatsu. I had Yun doing something that slipped through too.

Sakura’s crouching reeling animation still owns TC. While a point blank cr.LKX2> TC will connect on block, on hit, the HP will miss. Point blank c.LK>TC will still hit though. d+MP> d.LK> TC will also work. s.MK> TC or TC after a cross up MK will NOT work. Getting used to these specifics against Sak will take some effort.

d.LKX2> TC will only work on Guile and Sagat at point blank range. A bit further and the HP might miss.

Ultra 2 still doesn’t punish non-HK Sumo Splashes.

TC> Jab Houzanto> Ultra 1 (without FADC) doesn’t seem to work on twins. It’s still kinda hard on Cammy (if it’s possible at all now… I couldn’t get it to connect).

Usual character specifics appear to still hold for s.HK> s.HP> s.MP. I tried on Cammy and I think Yun. Didn’t work on them.

Hitting Yun with charged level 2 focus with Run-Overhead is (I think) a guaranteed 1 hit. Against a charged level 1 focus, it should still be 2 hits if you’re close enough though.
Oh alright, 1 piece of good news:
- Counter-hit Far MK combos into Far MP. Should make for some interesting block string set ups.
Its possible IF the elbow hits really late.

Wow, the HP still whiffs on sakura after cross up MK into TC? That’s just messed up man. In super I tried getting used to doing cross up MK into cl.Hp>light hozanto. It works and does good damage on sakura, but the blocked close Hp isn’t that safe, unlike the TC if i’m not mistaken.

close s.hk, s.hp, s.mp xx ex.hozanto works on t. hawk, deejay, dhalsim, adon, and blanka. doesn’t work on bison or ryu. didn’t get to test on any other chars.

Dude. I’ve been trying to see if it’s possible to armour cancel the stop portion of Ex Run Stop. Theoretically, if it does work, the input should be something like this:
If you’re using Ultra 1- qcf+KK (for run), then qcf, qcf+ LK ~MK+HK.
If you’re using Ultra 2- qcf+KK (for run), then hcb, hcb+ LK ~PPP
No luck on my side so far. Maybe you could try too…
well I didn’t do any special inputs for it. just did ultra2 immediately after the stop. it was pretty sick if I do say so myself lol
anybody else notice TK ex.izuna feels a bit easier to land? I dunno if it’s because I’ve been playing online too much, but in AE u can react to almost anything and it’ll land. grabbing the twins’ divekicks is the best
Yeah his c.lk is much better, the 3 frames + the reach makes it even better after TK, run stop etc.
2 hit overhead is much nicer too. Not much more too add really… I don’t play him much different from his console version.
I’m over here in Japan, in Osaka. Regarding Guy, I dunno if anyone remembers Kiyo Guy from Zero 3 (or Kiyotea and also Kiyomatsu) but he’s actually back and playing Guy in AE too (I think he’s ranking 3rd in the Guy listings with Kiryu way ahead at number 1, who is also ranked about 44th in the country).
He is also in the Osaka area so I’ll try to get some footage of him playing.
I currently have 12,000BP (not bad I guess since I only get to play 3/4 hours a week). Other people of note in Osaka are Uryo (Sakura and Viper… god like player), Amiyu (Amazing Gen and Sagat player), CANTONA #1 Zangief in Vanilla and I think is Osaka #2 right now, KOG (T-Hawk and Gief) a bunch of amazing Hondas (C-TYPE for one), too many Gouki’s and Vega (Dictator’s) to list. It’s a shame since the Tokyo players get all the limelight with their Yun whoring!

Couldn’t combo cr.lp, cr.lp, target combo (fierce whiff) on crouching Claw. I’ll need to find a different way to break him down.
Crouching light kick makes comboing after elbow drop a lot more consistent. I was whoring it out more than usual tonight.
