Q: About Cammy’s changes, I want to know about Cannon Strike’s height restriction. Also, I want to know if there are any changes to SA, Spin Knuckle, and Hooligan.
A: To explain Cannon Strike’s height restriction, it means that there’s a certain height where the game will register the command for Cannon Strike. It doesn’t matter which point of the jump, the command will not register if the character is not above the certain height. There was a change to each of LK, MK, and HK SA, and we also adjusted HK SA’s active frame distribution (<- since HK SA is 2 hits, maybe they’ll shorten the first hit then lengthen the second hit, or vice versa). There are no changes to Knuckle and Hooligan
So Knuckles is still completely useless… and of all the normals they didn’t change on her is still her worst normal (Cl HK). I loves Capcom sooooooo much. Might drop the game for MVC 3 when that comes out.
I’m pretty sure they made CS work exactly like Dan’s Air Koryuken. Play around with it and you’ll see how sad it is, and how much better Dan would be without that restriction.
Cammy will become just another safe-corner-spam queen apparently. Little bee tears will be shed…
Correct me if I’m wrong but even though Cammy’s normal TKCS is nerfed/removed, isn’t her ExTKCS still there? Wouldn’t that mean instead of countless mix-up chances, you’re limited only to the amount of meter you have? That’s still better than having zero mix-up options like everyone has been spewing regarding this.
Again, forgive me if I’m wrong. I haven’t been able to play SSF4 much recently.
so… um… a concrete answer is needed to this question: Can we still combo off of Cstrikes at this supposed ‘minimum height’?? … that’s what we need to know…
will ‘Sako’ combos still work?
will we still have the potential to do 40 percenters off a FA crumple?
in other words have they tweaked the move to be restricted or completely changed what has become it’s prime functionality…
If her normals become that much better i’ll stick with her. Honestly I going to be sad without tkcs but the ex version works so I’ll have to limit my combos. EX version is safer though.
honestly i think they’re just trying to make it so you have to think a bit more with cammy now instead of just being reckless and spamming tkcs all day long. you’ll have to be more thrifty with your meter and think things out a bit more. i really don’t think she’s gonna fall from top tier or upper mid tier, though.
Personally I think that most of the win’s Cammy gets is mostly off her pressure game making people flinch. Well her pressure game took a huge hit. More combos and better normals doesn’t always mean much since Cammy can’t chip safely off combos. The most you can hope for is leaning on her tick throws more.
If they would up her throw range a bit that wouldn’t be so bad… I seriously think most other characters are cheating when they throw me, because I’m so used to Cammy’s awful awful throw range.
Her throw range throws me off too! I always think Im safe then I eat a grab with spd range compared to Cammy’s. Rose catches me all the time with slide grab nonsense. Also, last time they claimed to make SA safer but that didnt happen. Also, they better fix it because you cant perfectly space it because all they have to do is stand up and it will whiff(Then Free Command Grab)so if you think they will stand up you have to space it to be at like -2. I catch people all the time online trying to mash Dp when I space to -2 instead of max.:woot: And im all for giving it HD remix pushback that made cannon Drill so epic.:rock:
