So the new Cammy changes have been released. Can anyone translate?
Edit: It looks like new combos may be possible. From what I could make sense out of text translation, looks like they’re saying she can do cr.lp cr.lp st.mp(or is it cr.mp) xx Spiral Arrow. Also, looks like they’re saying Cammy doesn’t bounce back as far on Cannon Spike.
Lack of Control/Mobility: I feel if they take away TKCS or Delayed Cammy will lose her ability to produce pressure and control of the screen, due to the lack of mobility TKCS has to offer. In a sense I feel TKCS is to Cammy as Fireballs are to Ryu (Increase his ability to move/pressure).
The overall method to balancing: Nerfing 1 Character to bring 2 or 3 a little more up in the tier list. I’m sure theres another away of going about this than to take away a critical move from a characters list.
Whats the differences between SF4 Cammy and SSF4 Cammy: I honestly didn’t see any changes at all from the transition. (Correct me if Im wrong). The only changes made was with how plays interact with and using Cammy, due to metagame and adaption over time.
I’ve already started Practicing without it and I feel without she doesn’t any other gimmicking/abusive moves that may cause my opponent to take caution of.

st MP and cr MP recovers faster, and so close st HP. He says that combos that earlier were not possible now can be carried out. Also, in average she does more damage in combos.
It puts as example: cr jab X2-> close st HP-> spiral arrow with HK.
As other characters, there are buffs in hitboxes, damage, etc, here and there.
Specials:
It is easier to punish cannon spike in recovery
cannon strike has a minimal height to be activated. EX CS remains the same.
Summary:
Cammy is one of the characters with more adjustments. It does more damage in combos. Her Normals are even better than before.

I’m claiming cl st strong, cr fierce st fierce spiral arrow as the Airamae combo now. I don’t want to hear anything about this being a Sako combo in the future.
As for the AE changes, thanks for translating. As some people had anticipated, we got better frames in exchange for the TK Cannon Strike/low Cannon Strike. I think she’s still going to be solid.
From SF4 to Super:
-better hitbox on crossup j.lk
-better hitbox on st.hk
-Cannon Spike damage and stun reduced, but improved when it hits air-to-air
-slightly improved throw range
-Ultra damage reduced (like for every other character), but a lot of the damage was moved from the beginning portion of the ultra to the final hit.
-Meter gain from Cannon Strike on hit and block was reduced
she’s still going to be solid?lol screw that,capcoms got a lazy bunch of people who’ve employed nooby qa testers who cant play the game worth shit.i cannot stand them making the game less complicated,there was absolutely no reason for them to do what they did to cammy.
Still dont know how much height restriction there is on the normal Cannon Strike. “Cannot do it too low” isnt much of a indicator for me. Yea you cant TKs but I dont use them anyway, I just it do them fairly low to the ground to try to step on whiffed low pokes trying to zone me. If I can still do that then I don’t see any problems.
Anyway, based on what im seeing about taking off recovery on her pokes, she would have to get at least +7 on hit for her c.LP to link it into a far HP. Barring that the changed far HP isnt now faster or something.
IF the changed far HP scenario isn’t the case. I’m gonna go on a limb and guess that they took off between 2 to 3 frames of recovery, meaning that those buffed punches should have an extra +2 or +3 on hit and block.
