SSF4 AE 2012 Gen Match-ups & Strategies (New)

I wish it was even that  It was about Gouken’s slow-ass back throw actually letting my cr.LK come out, consequently eating my tech. I got back thrown about 10 times in that match.

hahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! super. Hey street, I was in the lab and I stumbled on something very funny, you can evade all of Bison’s headstomp including ex with mantis cMP lol!

Yea, you can also do the same shit with cr.HP, even tho the recovery is terrible and you’ll likely get thrown out.

You can do the same thing against those ambiguous wake-up jump-ins that land a hit on your head. Dodging with it and throwing them really screws them up.

and nobody mentioned it before? damn it!

???!!!

Could I hear some tips on the Ken matchup? I’m struggling in the neutral game :frowning:

Hello guys! I’m looking for some more Dictator match-up knowledge. @ugo_2u, That cr.MP for headstomps is pure gold, thanks!

you are welcome bro, that really makes the match up sweet and when you have super or ultra stocked any headstomp attempt is guaranteed damage for Gen, if its actual stomp it will wiff and you punish his ass with your BnB but if its a fakeout devils reverse the let your super and ultra rip upon his ass

“THE EXPLODING NUTSACK TECHNIQUE!!!”

When you have stocked Ultra he can’t stomp you. So building Super is pretty important here. Whilst it’s good to keep him grounded, Bison pretty much always commands the ground space. So you really just was to be conservative, take your time and punish him to the max every time he fucks up. Sweep is godlike for punishing any bison who crutches on Roundhouse. Abuse MK Hands and mix him up. Don’t be afraid to jump in now and then. The worst he can do its 120 damage and reset neutral, whilst if he doesn’t block crane j.HK he eats around 300.

It’s just a risk / reward matchup.

(Dont forget the overhead, either.)

While i agree that you can get a lot of free jumpins on him it kinda changes when he has ultra. he can do jump mp x 2 > u1. His st. hk 90% of the time gets stomped by crane j. hp. So i think that’s better than crane rh.

Hey guys. Any safejumps on makoto?

regular safejumps work on makoto.

Be careful not to do 4f~6f safe jump setups as EX Karakusa will focus eat through them.

Hey,

Can anyone give me any tips on the Adon match up, specifically for punishing/avoiding/dealing with repeated jaguar kicks?

I was fighting a pretty good Adon last night and he was constantly mind-gaming me with a mixture of ground JK’s and mid-air JK’s. Every time I tried to punish a blocked one he’d follow up with a light JK and catch me out trying to throw or poke.

Eventually I just had to keep blocking, which leads to a lot of chip damage and also lets him totally control the match.

I know super/ultra can punish it on reaction, but is there any way other than just trying to stay out of range?

Thanks.

if youre at neutral, you can try stuffing them with mantis mp. or you can try neutral jumping and either beating them air to air or timing the neutral jump so he misses and you get a combo.

if you block, the grounded version of the move leaves him at negative frames, so you should be able to do a mantis stand jab to take the momentum back. not sure about the frame data on the instant air version

i just watch his meter and stick the jab out on block. once he gets 2 bars i start delay crouch teching or back dashing

the instant air version can be focus absorbed

Thanks for the tips. I’ll give them a go.
