SRK Mini Mafia: Proving Grounds - Team Fortress 2 GAME RED - BLU Victory!

Really, She-Hulk? Really?

Because he didn’t need the stocks and because it got us talking about THAT instead of something else that they don’t want us talking about.

My list:
Saitsu - For the reasons already posted. Also, he’s fingering me hard:

GodotsRevenge - For the obvous, already been stated reasons surrounding the lynching of BullDancer/Azure’s list, and because in that same post by Saitsu (click it), he fingers Godots, but doesn’t. But does. But really want’s him to not get lynched. Saitsu really wants to finger me, but knows that if he drives it too hard it will be obvious.
That said…

Saitsu - for the above mentioned reasons.

Everyone else (except for one of you that I have my eye on and don’t want to reveal yet), is relatively clear, as I’ve also stated previously.

My thoughts around this lean towards the former point. I have serious doubts that Azure possessed any radical insight that would have been a thread to the mafia. My guess is that they had a two-fold strategy.

  1. Implicate GR/Saitsu/Mobius.
  2. Role hunting the medic. The UC was already out of the way so I guess they felt that silencing the first night kill would add to the meta game. I think they may have felt that Azure was the medic.

Anyway, we should really start hard interrogations and deliberations soon.

  • This seems kind of odd to me. Pietastic is one of people who posts the least. *

I will not be able to check back in on the thread for a number of hours. As such, I will leave my vote as it currently stands (on Saitsu). I will check back in on the thread close to the voting deadline and will evaluate the lynch choices at that time. I will unfortunately be unavailable for questioning so I apologise in advance.

I do feel that I have made my thoughts clear on all of the main lynch suspects however.

Great…that means I’m one of the top suspects and also the one that has to direct everything.

Alright, for those who are here and haven’t posted suspects, do so. If not, and I know DarkGeneral at the least is against it, then you’re going to at least have to pick a lynch target for discussion.

Now that I look back, that’s true. I guess he’s just made a big impression on me. No hetero.

Nice. Yes, I don’t post all that much, but I try to keep the signal-to-noise ratio high.

Well, I tried to follow the top 3 format, but 'tis quite difficult.
So here’s what I did in my last game,

Here’s the legend,
50% is indifferent,
60% is someone who I don’t have a read on or someone who I view as a threat if he is mafia.
65% is someone who I feel should be trialed to a lynch on any other day except today.
70% is those who I’d lynch/consent to be lynched today.
75% is someone who I’ll start a bandwagon on personally if no one wants to lynch him.

DarkGeneral(60%)- I’m getting the GS vibe from him, but it’s still too early to say that, I suppose(Funnily enough, they both have General in their namesake.).
He seems earnest and I appreciate the effort he shows for in the game(Hand counting the posts and quoting the deceased is quite something). That said, I would like more subjective insight from him, hopefully, during this next phase.
GodotsRevenge(65%)- He’s the star of the show together with Saitsu, I suppose. If we lynch him now, we’ll be going through with Azure’s plan, which I was against. If you look back, you can see that he retaliated when BD voted for him. It was not the other way around, he was not the one who started the wagon.
That said, he’s erratic and his playstyle is disruptive. I’m keeping an eye on him for potential tells that can confirm my suspicions.
ManX(70%)- After his vote on BD(post-UC claim), the floodgates on BD’s bandwagon opened, which I’m on firm belief made it easy for the mafia to ride in the waves. That said, he did state that he did not researched BD’s claim.
He’s one of the three persons who moved on to Godot immediately after BD’s death.
I made mention of this in an earlier post,

Neesa(65%)- She chimes in here and then, that’s what she does I suppose. I’m keeping an eye her for any potential tells. But, right now, her tell on the sign-up board, seemed so obvious and that I think it’s too good to be true. So I’ll hold off, for now. She blamed Godot, immediately after BD’s reveal. Co-Jones’ and her reaction have synergy, in my opinion.
Pietastic(60%)- He’s a strong player, that’s for sure. If he’s a mafia, I doubt many of us will be capable of taking him down unless he slip-up. I’m keeping an eye on him.
That said, his help has been paramount for the civs.
Oh, he’s also the one who came up with this list idea.
Saitsu(65%)- Despite what BullDancer had said, Saitsu has been playing well. I don’t want him to get lynched today. I still feel that, even after reading others’ reasoning, he has only been defending himself.
And no, I’m not going to use x = y, then z must be v.
BullDancer turning up as the UC does not implicate/exonerate Saitsu.
I’ll look for other reasons, if possible.
Synonym(60%)- you’re my enemy, so I’ll be scrutinizing your every move, Wesker.
Jesting aside, he’s been very vocal, the replacement MP, I suppose. His wall of text/rant was quite an amusing read. I have no read on you right now, I’ll keep my guard up, until I see an opening.
The Co-Jones(70%)- He still insists on following Azure’s plan, which I’m not really fond of. I’m not holding that against him though. That said, his reaction after BD’s reveal, was quite note-worthy.
He’s one of the three, who I considered,

DISCLAIMER: This is effective for Day 2 only.
If I die, do wait for my LG, and use that instead for Day 3.
PS: I noticed I’m late~ My apologies.

Yo, being She-Hulk was hard cause I could only use my move once.

*Elaborate on this. Why would mafia waste a last gasp as a smoke screen to prevent a certain line of questioning/reasoning? That is a throw away use for a strong tool that they have. Even if they have a possible max of two blockers it isn’t logical, to me at least, that they’d use a block like that.

This is what leads me to believe they’re confident and aggressive. Either they’re feeling themselves from leading us to lynch our own UC or they’re getting cocky seeing how big we fucked up by lynching our UC. Even if they’re cocky seeing us fuck up, I’m not immediately convinced that they’d just waste a blocker playing with “noobs”.*

I’m still here for a few minutes so if anyone has any last minute questions, fire away. Also, you don’t need to be ‘directing’ anything. Just lay your suspicions out for the team to read. If you make a compelling argument I may be convinced to change my vote against you.

I won’t deny that I was pissed off at the loss of our UC early, especially after I thought I’d made a logical case for his stay of execution. Regardless, we can’t change the past so we need to cope without the UC. As such, having everyone be vocal in their suspicions (to me) seems more valuable than being withdrawn and holding your suspicions close to your chest. If you flag something as odd, then the group as a whole can examine the evidence and judge it on its merit. It also gives the accused a chance to defend themselves.

My suspicions aren’t any higher than anyone else’s. Unfortunately I don’t have that kind of intuition.

And honestly, I’m not asking you to change your vote. I understand the call you made, I think you’d be doing the right thing by sticking to it unless someone slips up.

*Who is GS?

To be honest since this is my first mafia game I don’t have enough confidence to follow my gut instincts over cold hard objective logic on day 1 and 2. I do have some subjective thoughts on people here but I don’t want to cast open doubt on someone who is close to being 50/50 mafia to civ. One of the best things we have as Civs is our strength in numbers. It might not seem like all that much of a big deal, but to me it is. Casting doubt and/or lynching our fellow civs makes us shoot ourselves in the foot. It can’t be helped that we will fuck up (like we did with BD) but it’s something I’m not taking lightly.

With that said if you want subjectivity I’ll give you a couple of examples in my next post. I just need some time to quote a couple of things.
*

GS is GeneralStupidity, someone who played with us in the RE game.

I agree on this. I’ve stated this in my first game as well.
Numbers is one of the civ’s weapon.

Can the peanut gallery please exit the thread the same way they entered? Thank you.

Page 3, Saitsu says this as the discussion is on lynching wallflowers has reached a conclusion. At this point Azure is playing aggro on getting rid of dead weight. These are the posts that made Saitsu rescind his post:

and Pietastic said this:

  • Saitsu then quickly receded his point. In the early game this is what made me take a mental note to observe Saitsu. How the post was worded made me think he was trying to stay under the radar. If he was a roleless civ I’d think that he wouldn’t post in a manner that makes him look so inadequate.

Well to understand that, you have to understand me and not my past game history but my past history here period.

I had an attitude problem, still do somewhat. And I would never admit I was wrong about shit I was obviously wrong about.

I got my account banned, was gone for a year, had a reality check.

The point is that sometimes you have to admit that maybe you’re wrong and others are right. And if you look bad or inadequate in the process, so be it.
