How about you read further down as to why I said that and why I later retracted that whole fucking thing.
Really, it’s an awesome read. Might win a Pulitzer.
As of now, my deliberations are between AlphaCommando and LimeGreenPotato. I’m just not feeling what LGP said, and I fucking know better now than to back off my reads when my gut is saying otherwise, no matter how well they spin it.
Shoutouts to @ForgeDigger for re-energizing my overall cynicism last game. Since I’ve tagged you, what’s on your mind re: game?
Well, naturally, I’d be feeling some of that NaCl, being unable to play for a good portion of a game twice in a row. Then again, quite a few people here probably already have experience with that…
AC our bet is pretty damn substantial assuming you would honor it as I would, so the fact that you initiated the bet knowing that I would most likely accept it as I usually do pretty much confirms you as a civ, and anyone who disagrees with your innocence should be looked at very suspiciously unless of course they think we are both mafia. It’s usually a bad idea to trust anyone, especially on day 1 but we caught a lucky break the logic is undeniable (again unless you believe we are both mafia) so unless AC pulls a bulldancer or dramatix on us nobody has a logical reason to vote for him. If he was mafia then he would have to know that I would refuse my own bet this time which again he had no reason to think I would until after I announced it which is as unlikely as getting struck by lightning and winning the lottery at the same time, and if I was mafia I would have to know in advance that he would be the one to bring up the bet which has never happened before this game so again statistically it’s extremely unlikely one of us is mafia. Either we are both mafia or we are both clean.
99% of the time the day 1 lynch target is an inactive, role claimer, or a civ who uses really poor choice of words to make themselves look guilty. This time we have a slightly lower chance of losing a civ day 1 due to the two lynch targets I pointed out:
MP has been keeping track of who’s inactive thus far and that happens to be, TCJ, Ki Shima, and Kaz…and yet out of those 3 the one that MP wants to lynch is not either of the two experienced players who we all know are capable of being cunning and deceptive nope he picks the one who we know jack shit about. If that does not set alarms off in your mind you should probably shouldn’t be playing mafia games at all.
CK always manages to stay alive till late or end game even while admitting he never contributes anything of value never bothering to explain his voting reasons or posting much, he consciously chooses to always be a useless wall flower and for whatever reasons he always slips under the radar (except for the TF2 blue game where I caught him =P.
We all know how random day 1’s usually are and how mafia can just sit back and pile on the confusion without risking anything, so read my posts on this page and if you still choose to lynch anyone besides MP or CK you better have a superior reason for voting that person instead otherwise you look both stupid and dirty. Keep in mind I’m not making any hard claims that MP or CK are mafia, I’m just going with the evidence we have so far and the posts tell me that MP and CK are more likely to be mafia than anyone else at this point. Who knows how future posts up until the deadline will change that.
MP you didn’t say you retracted your initial suspicion towards Ki Shima, you only mentioned how you forgot about a few others who also haven’t checked in and that your suspicion didn’t make much sense, that is not the same as backing off that suspicion entirely. Also you only reinforce my reasoning, because even with those other thus far non checked in players what reason do you have to lynch any of them over TCJ and Kaz who have unlike them demonstrated the ability to be good mafia/deceptive? Granted maybe you thought keeping a player you don’t have any read on alive is less preferrable than keeping a player who’s style you know alive, but even then that wouldn’t be a factor until late game.
I see you’ve been feasting on your personal stash of pineapple express.
It’s exactly this type of thinking or lack of such from mafia and or ignorant civs that gets us killed faster. Sure day 1 there is very little info to go on usually, but this time we happen to have at least enough info to say that voting on a hunch alone is a very poor move for the civs if you are one that is.
I’ll have to look at this role claiming bit sometime today, but for now MP or CK is how everyone should vote unless someone has a more logical reason to vote for someone else. We have to establish a pattern of intelligent voting early on so that we are less likely to be manipulated and swayed by mafia when later on. Playing by reads or yomi or whatever works out sometimes, but as someone that’s been playing SRK mafia games damn near since I joined 10 years ago I can confidently say in the long run it’s a losing strategy and good old fashioned detective work is the tortoise in the race
@orochizoolander, the reason I said that is that a new inactive is less likely to show up than a veteran inactive. However, in the hypothetical that there were no alts, and Ki Shima showed up and kaz never did, then yeah, I’d vote for kaz in a heartbeat.
Lynch CK Even if he’s innocent he’s by his own admission dead weight. I don’t have a reason to change my vote unless someone has something more incriminating against anyone else including me.
If the first time since PW that C_K makes a concerted effort in this game leads to him getting lynched as a civ, I’m going to beat the people who voted for him to death with my dick.
[details=Spoiler]
This means jack shit if he turns up mafia. But seriously, it’s your life, my dick, if he’s civ.[/details]
He did post a lot more in the game before the last one. But at the same time he was also being targeted by the other players early on as a possible mafia so he had to defend himself and be more active in that game if I remember it correctly.
Remember when you said I should read your posts? Well you might want to try taking your own advice.
You’ve already admitted in previous mafia games you will never explain your voting choices nor will you ever post much, so you admit you’re dead weight, we don’t need you it does not matter if you’re civ or not. Getting rid of the lackluster players is preferrable to getting rid of a player who may actually have something to contribute at some point and your willful ignorance of my previous statement along with you voting for me just because I voted for you doesn’t make you look any better. I’m sure the civs will agree with me on this one.
The fact that you’ve acknowledged the importance of our bet means that I can trust you to trust me, but the fact that you didn’t accept it means I can’t trust you fully yet. I am willing to free up my schedule from Day 2 onwards, but you’re still a valid lynch option for now (along with everyone else).
