Although to be fair, I’m most appreciative for the chance your death afforded me to let my inner Sherlock run wild with the fanciful hypotheticals that I did. Also thanks for being a real sport about it. I know I personally would have gotten frustrated with people calling me mafia when I’m trying to help them post-death.

I know he’s been a suspect since Day 1 and is a little wall-flowery but what makes him merit a lynch over some of the other inactives?

First he wants to save Doof but then…

Now I’ve gone and made myself unsure. On the one hand OZ is a much more salient lynch target in my mind. However, his posts are so erratic that it’s hard to believe that he is mafia. To me, they sound like he’s doped up on some serious painkillers.

Doof on the other hand has managed to skate away from attention every time it gets put on him.

I did this in a joking manner because of all of the people I suspect he’s in the middle of my list. I wouldn’t nominate him to be killed without more evidence so I’ll keep digging for info. on him just like everyone else.

Speaking of suspects if I die before Akuma-Hax I’ll probably commit accidental suicide from extreme face-palming. He’s almost dug himself to China at this point.

Right now, I think you, Chief, and Synonym are the most likely candidates as a mastermind. Cynt maybe as well.

If I had to choose to find the mastermind, I’d lynch in that order, exactly.

How do I keep getting named as a mastermind? I’ve played exactly two games before and never once had a leadership role. I did well in the RE game because I answered only to myself and was able to navigate the game without having to worry about implicating my teammates. I was also a new player so I tried to approach that game as I would all my future games as a civilian. I attempt to remain impartial for the most part, only really committing to a lynch or a defence when I’m convinced of there being a reason to do so.

For example, your lynch day 1 was easily the best outcome we could get. Hence why I agreed to lynch you. Letting people off because they’ve been trustworthy in the past is so against my playstyle it isn’t funny. Acknowledge their abilities as a poster but seriously no-one should get a free pass in this game.

This just came to me as I was writing this, but has anyone paid serious attention to Augustus? I haven’t seen a shred of evidence that he’s guilty but we all seem to be ignoring him because PW has called him insightful and useful.

Your ability to fly under the radar is exactly why I think you’re a potential mastermind.

But that alone doesn’t seal it. It’s that you’re a smart, analytical person that makes some very smart posts in these games. That kind of capability makes for a good opportunity as mafia to set up mindgames. I also don’t think you’d make the indecisive mistakes you made in your first game anymore, you saw how that ruined you then.

The thread has been helter skelter ever since the programmer ended that phase so abruptly.

My silence is my attempt to keep the thread on track and clear of bias. I’ve learned that being helpful doesn’t mean having the most posts. It means paying attention. Whenever my name has been called I have responded. Ive played this way since day 1. If you notice I didn’t even make a check in post.

If you look at the wallflowers, if you call their name they come in and have to “catch-up”. I set my sights on them since day 1 because since everyone has a role, the wallflowers can hurt us even more by sitting there with key roles or roles we assumed were used and we would never know. So I was all for clearing the playing field to help make our reads more precise.

However, the fact is, we’re being mislead with false information and guidance. I believe MP, PW and Azure are confirmed civs but I don’t blindly trust their advice or course of action.

For example: I’ll oblige with not lynching OZ as PW requested, but a conspiracy theory that’s being overlooked is what happens if you replace OZ with another player that’s been MIA such as Infrequent Lurker or ForgeDigger? Do the facts that apply to OZ work for them too?

PW talks in code alot but ever since the All Star game, I’ve never taken anything he’s posted at face value. Nothing against him personally. This is SRK and those kind of mind games are encouraged, however in these mafia games, they’re only beneficial to mafia.

Another example: The Programmers action; in my opinion it was an attempt to help us but without clear instruction or discussion it makes it difficult to execute something like that without collateral damage. Then again, if the programmer was mafia, why would they let AC get lynched? Why not end day phase immediately upon realization of their Val’s pending death?

The people are being misled. I’m aware that my post is coming out of nowhere but would people have been gung-ho to believe my logic and theories if I had been verbal in the thread since day 1? No. Because a general rule of thumb in this game is trust no one.

Now is the time to present our findings and make our cases. If we operate on the assumption that there are 4 mafia left, that means we have about 3 chances to be wrong.

Less if Azure kills wrong.

We can’t rely on guesses and hunches (or role claims) anymore.

I still believe that there’s at least 1-2 mafia hiding in the wallflower section of this game and 1-2 outspoken mafia. With all the speculation about roles the actual players activities are being ignored.

Azures plan is to have me lynched or killed so I’m going to say we have 2-3 wrong guesses remaining and 4 mafia to find.

The people I would like to here from are. Infrequent Lurker and ForgeDigger. They’re probably trying to catch up and will have a response later hopefully I’m alive to be able to utilize it.

Until then, just know that the only reason mafia hasn’t killed me is because they feared I was being protected by PW who was believed to be protected by the medic. Now with both medics gone, both of us are guaranteed dead.

When we come up dead I’d advise pressuring RadicalFuzz. He has been off this game and even though his insight is welcome it can’t be blindly trusted.

I think of all people, Programmer knew they had a one-time use ability, and knew they had to use it that night. Considering the only action that got through last night was Mafia Kill, I’m hesitant to believe programmer is ours.

I tried really hard on this one, please read it. If not now, at least when it becomes a bit more important or you learn more about who I am and can trust what I say. There are no jokes in it, nothing else particularly crazy with formatting besides one code raw text box and 2 line breaks with the multiple dash line break format to seperate big groups of text and different thoughts.

I can’t wait for another distraction response by Azure to sidetrack me and get this read even less. That exchange picking up again won’t be important to anybody as it just fights only me, which is pretty useless to gain the info we need instead on many more important things. I will answer all actual questions to help the team and not be the same type of someone I’m wary of, those that throw accusations without questions to maybe just only play to the crowd and snowball a much bigger problem that can’t be reversed by either party and has the worst result possible. Even if its unlikely, Pimp Willy still talked out the whole Kill Switch and Death + even Sacrifice angle. That’s what I’m saying about all of this, I know its unlikely which is why the last time this was detailed, it was done very quickly and not with every possibility, but I believe the evidence is there. Lets look at it, in a better, easier way all laid out:

Mafia knew Syo
Mafia can claim Vigi (Mafia + 1 Civ knows syo) and Paparazzi (nobody knows her)
Mafia can claim Togami (nobody knows him, or if he's civ)

No, there wasn’t a 2nd Syo roleclaim. why would there be one after everyone was fully ready to believe the first one?

Again its just the alternate theory of events, not having a 2nd Syo roleclaim is still no final proof of anything on the real Syo.

Syo really doesn’t want to come out with a roleclaim when few protections are left. That would be Very Dangerous as the 2nd Role claim of Syo will just be taken out.
Why would they put the target on their own back, for both the target of the Mafia kill and even a Lynch instead when Mafia doesn’t have to show their hand in killing the 2nd Vigilante roleclaim that could very well be real. They can leave that to the Vigilante.

Real Syo has that option too, taking out a role claim by a fake syo, one of the checks that prevents a 2nd role claim in the way that gets lots of trust.

Very few roles have checks to find out the 100% truth. Investigator can only, unluckily find a Mafia and is even disadvantaged with Forger still Alive out there on there Team in case you forgot.

In this alternate theory of the events: Real Vigi Syo can’t target Azure this whole time he’s protected. He can’t check him. He can’t dispute his claims of kill targets. That is also dangerous and ends up being a role claim.

Why would Mafia roleclaim vigilante?

If they can get away with it, when its a calculated risk with a big upside worthy of taking that risk.

If they have helpful roles that combine for such a plan, like Togami which the Civilians cannot dispute, or it would be risky to claim to be the real Togami in regards to how he works with Vigilante. Doing it first was a real chess move. Getting protection from being killed by Medics/Fighter from the actual Vigilante and end up having everyone find out the truth was important. Unluckily, the civilian team gave up protection targets (for their own reasons & plans) early in order to help that plan work very well and be covered on many angles. Hecatom may not have been covered a lot, is the only part of this I’m seeing, even after his role claim since Vigi remains pretty important to the Civs and Hecatom’s role he claimed was not as important at the time, with only like 1 night phase since his claim.

Azure has tied up the Protection role at least twice, Mafia can really use the facts that he is protected, where a different possible real Syo can’t kill him to learn the truth. It doesn’t only have to be Mafia wasting their kill on Azure’s Vigilante Roleclaim. They would go for a better target than someone that is protected afterall, the mixup put in place so they won’t waste their Night Kill action.

Everyone has fucked up then with the trust placed in the wrong players and their role claims. Thinking of how this Mafia game can be “broken” was not looked at and a lot of this lines up for “Broken Offense,” vs Pimp Willy’s now taken down-“Broken Defense” through almost no fault of his own.

Mafia are going to want Hecatom and Azure around as long as possible. They’re not going to kill them and give the town real information. We are definitely not going to lynch them after the trust they have earned, even with a passive unproven ability, the action for Togami, that wasn’t shown on Bious’ ESP radar. Of course Paparazzi was shown, but Bious also didn’t know if Vigi was a role on their own to begin with and didn’t look out for that. Mafia may have benefited from that too. Who can counter that paparazzi claim?

An easy, good and ready way to check for these ends is some more solid evidence. We need more evidence anyway without the reasons I want it:

What was Azure’s Night 2 Target to follow?
What was Hecatom’s other learned Roles during night phase?

I do agree, as it already said before me, that it will be bad for real Togami to die for his claim, but having any info to cross examine is really important to show people are exactly who they say they are. Mafia can kill Togami and Vigilante soon. I think the urgency is already here to know these things to really help the civilian team turn this around.

All of this won’t be 100% right in every way, of course, but there are some new possibilities in this post that can be working out there that have not been thoroughly looked at with how the role dynamics work together. I don’t think it to be wise to leave these “stones unturned.” Especially the side of supporting the Alpha Commando Valedictorian with strong roles, after seeing if you also notice like I did, the last person to bring this up, was Doof, right before he died, maybe even for saying it again.

Civilian Skills that find roles seem to have been all taken away from our team. Such as the confirmed major one in Sayaka who is a “Forger” instead. Knowing the vigi for the Civilian version of the Togami role, doesn’t mean knowing the second role the Vigi also started with. While that is being claimed, the real Vigi and a possible real role of Paparazzi can very well turn into wallflowers that damn well will not role claim who they are so they don’t get run out of the game for going against the fully established trust and info we all mutually believed going forward without a second thought, opinion, or look to be completely sure.

I’m not completely sure about Azure.

I would be very scared of a Mafia Azure in line with a Mafia Pimp Willy who was seen in other games, the example talked about again in this very game thread based on his PHX Wright game and the deception of real “wool pulled over everyone’s eyes” taking full advantage of the Sovi3t bow out. That was an entire plan laid out that people could not find any problem or poke a hole in. That was a solid Mafia gameplay move.

You guys have to at least respect me telling you exactly what I’m thinking, no matter if its a big text wall. I do play and speak honestly and completely failed to mention that in this game among everything else I believe makes up my playing style. The style of game with so many roles in it has not helped me think this all out very well. I’m sure I’m not the only one even if you don’t want to openly share that sentiment and be called weak for it, when it is very reasonable to think this way. Luckily for the group, I don’t hold up an entire jury here by being the dissident outlaw voter. So there’s no reason like the whole vote is deadlocked if I don’t agree and I’m holding this all up for selfish reasons, by not just agreeing with the group.

Having any doubt in your mind will come back to haunt you as a big regret by not acting on it when you still had the chance.

If I’m reading your post correctly, the first 2 paragraphs clued me into who you are which would contradict my theory of you and azure possibly being mafia. Anyways, you have an interesting idea of azure role claiming syo, I mean if you are right then he has us all fooled perfectly however, godot said syo is a civ role and even if it wasn’t mafia generally leave vigi alone because 99% of the time they do more harm than good for the civs, almost every game vigi is some trigger happy faggot that kills a few civs then says sorry and then mafia will win or have a huge early edge :mad:

I, for one still see a use in you if you are mafia (trade 1 mafia for an extra kill that night is incredible if you know that mafia is gonna get lynched the next day). Best to nip that in the bud if true. Especially at this phase when you are already up for the death. If you survive this day phase, you know your time is almost up and would have no reason to not just do it at night and get the extra kill.

Oh, I forgot to count Hecatom as confirmed, but now that I think about it, I’m not 100% sold on him being what he says he is. I don’t recall seeing any confirmation on him, but prolly 90, 95% confirmed in my book though.

I’d really like to know where you get oz being civ, Willy. Not that I don’t trust your allegiance, just can’t comprehend your judgement sometimes. Any not-so-direct way you could help me determine the same conclusion you have? I haven’t put in my vote yet, but was just about to and then read your statement…

2. I never expected to live this long. As a confirmed civ… I’m almost lost as to what to do. This is new territory for me. Im good at chiming in, not necessarily driving the entire strategy.

3. Hax, if you’re going to claim Syo so openly, do something about it. My protection doesn’t stop your kills. Otherwise, shut the fuck up about Azure not being Syo. You’re not convincing us, and you’re not convincing mafia to off you either, if you’re third party.

Will try to find time to run the post count program, and post the entire zip files of peoples postings

You, me, and MP being the only active confirmed civs means it’s out responsibility to come up with strats and lynch targets that the other civs can use as a foundation of logic to build on, it is currently the job of the mafia to obfuscate that chain of command so that the unconfirmed civs continue to lynch in the dark, don’t make it any easier for mafia to accomplish that mini goal.

Do you really think WAH was trying to imply he is syo? He pulled a similar tactic last game when a mafia soft claimed medic and then WAH who was the real civ medic was eventually forced to hard role claim and died soon after. I think WAH (if he’s a civ) is postulating that you shouldn’t trust azure so easily. Just curious since he brought it up what makes you trust azure?

Because he died as Touko, and the only one who could change what role they die as is Touko, so he has to be Touko.
