Really, the book doesn’t end well, but it is essentially a satire of what Orwell believed to be the social problems of the time. Considering that those problems haven’t changed much in any meaningful sense, Nineteen Eighty-Four can’t possibly be as depressing as a trip to SRKGD.

Gurren Lagann was the last full anime I watched and I’m fine with that…to this day nothing new has been able to catch my eye the way that show did years ago. Stop acting like it’s the best comic ever, it ain’t. If it were in a vacuum and that was just one arc, fine, no complaints, but 10 arcs of the same shit means you are just on auto pilot. Silly fun auto pilot but auto pilot none the less.
Its like The Walking Dead but instead of everyone new Rick meets dying it’s everyone not dying, including the villians, having a big party, and then being banished to weird cover adventures while the crew goes to a new island for it all to repeat again. Sometimes at the end of an arc an important person randomly shows up to beat up Luffy to show he isn’t strong enough for the next island but will be when he finishes that islands arc.

But yeah Infernoman, don’t watch Shonen anime, why would you do that to yourself? That is a genre where you can almost completely generalize that it’s bad and be right 90 percent of the time. (except for the movies which are generally pretty good)

The anime doesn’t do the art justice honestly. The designs are all incredibly unique though and grow on you quickly.

I don’t hate Bleach all that much, I still read it every week. But it’s funny as hell that people who are Bleach fans think One Piece is bad. Bleach has got to be the most horribly written manga I’ve ever read. Art is cool, and some of the character designs are pretty unique, but it’s all wasted on really really bad writing.
I’m not going to go on a rant defending One Piece though because we have like eight fucking anime threads for this discussion.
Bleach is awful too, duh. But at least Bleach knows it’s awful and isn’t trying to make me like stupid giant retard children or fish negros.

I am a One Piece defender!!!, I will never realize VS always says the designs are great and the art is great. I ONLY KNOW HE SAID ONE PIECE IS BAD SO GATHER YOUR ARMS. HE HATES EVERYTHING. READING THE SAME ARC OVER AND OVER IS AWESOME.
PS - I hate all anime forever. Batman TAS is the worst show ever made. The Superman episode where Jack Kirby gets killed by Darkseid was AWFUL. Come at me EVERYONE.
