I don’t like Trigun, Evangelion, or Outlaw Star. Come at me. Oh, and the Berzerk anime is trash. Also the Claymore anime. COME AT ME!
Well that’s just like…your opinion man.
mIRC doesn’t like anything and has a ridiculously stupid username, who gives a shit.
Blasphemy…
Told you…
mIRC comes from the Andy Bernard school of criticism.
These muffins are BAD.
I haven’t watched a good anime in awhile and I’m too lazy to find a good one. Last thing I watched was Samurai 7 on RockB’s recommendation. It was ass but “I want to eat riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice!” Last good anime I watched was Monster.
I watched Darker than Black. It was kind of cool but overall I’m indifferent to it.
Started watching Gankutsuou but I don’t think I finished it. It was weird but not really entertaining. I liked the textures.
Watched Shigurui too. I guess that was decent in an odd way. Mostly the violence and the fucked up bodies.
Maybe you guys should watch those animes when you’re not twelve years old or something. I mean if you still think Blue Gender is good, you need to go on a spirit journey and find yourself or sumfin.
the last anime (non-hentai) i watched was basilisk. twas pretty good, started baccano! but then i graduated from college and stopped downloading/watching anime.
Oh yeah, Baccano! was great. I watched that right after Monster. I would recommend that to anyone. I just remembered I watched Sword of the Stranger too, which was also good.
I think I’ll give Basilisk a shot.
These avatars take forever to change.
Was never a huge anime fan, but I’ll check stuff out on Netflix fairly often these days. Really liked xxxHolic (not a hentai, just sounds like one) and Hetalia (ditto) was brilliant because the episodes are only 5 minutes long (also it’s good). I started watching those like a year ago, along with Vandread.
Started watching Moribito and Tokyo Majin more recently, and like both for different reasons.
Knock yourself out.
Basilisk was aight. Samurai 7 is sub par. Monster is fucking godlike. Darker than Black was godlike… at least, the first season. Gankutsuou/Count of Monte Crsito is cool, just because of how insane the nigga’s revenge plan played out (Don’t steal a man’s wife and fuck his life over). I never finished Shigurui… didn’t hold my attention for long enough… I stopped after the scene of the one dude railing the fuck out of this whore. Pounded her so hard from the back that she flew through the tatami wall
Baccano! is really good. You’ll probably like that one, Calves: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=ELF0YXlfdQn1E&feature=plcp
Intro is pretty boss, too:

angelpalm knows what’s up. Tiger and Bunny was pretty cool too.
But she isn’t a whore…
That whole anime is one big wtf just like the manga. I wish they would finish translating it so I can see who wins. Everyone should read it, it has a frog dude that chops off peoples legs while he shits and a chick with a dick. Right up ya’lls alley.
Tiger and Bunny was pretty silly but I liked how they made use of all the sponsering. I need to finish ti.
Bacanno! is in my top 10 easily. It’s one of the few shows where I like every single character. Ladd Russo. Name to run away from really really fast.
Durarara!!'s first season is almost as good.
samurai 7 could have been so much better; the execution of that was awful.
SWBeta hasn’t finished it yet
Spoiler
Vash is like Jesus in The Last Temptation of Christ. he was always a badass, but he had crippling fear (of killing, of dying) and doubt in himself. also, i don’t think he was ever happy-go-lucky. if he was truly happy-go-lucky, we would have seen him act like that as a kid. he never did. he probably learned about happiness from Rem, so he decided to exaggerate it- like a someone that doesn’t have complete understanding of emotions would. imo all of that is an act, which is why it’s so over the top.
nah, dawg. watch it again. it was always serious. his goofy demeanor and actions were meant to confuse the characters, not us. when the Gung Ho Guns became a serious problem and Legato started fucking with bystanders he dropped the act somewhat and tried to get “Vash” as far away from humans as he could. that might have been less than halfway into the series.
also if you noticed, the goofy parts later in the series were more through the supporting characters than Vash.
you should finish it. what episode did you watch last?
watching dubbed anime…are you an asshole?
Gungrave had no business being as good as it was.
yeah, i used to dl them individually. one day i just couldn’t find the next episode so i decided to wait until a chunk of them had aired and just marathon them. i’m like 400 episodes behind , and now they are on hulu and i don’t feel like going back to the series.
see? aren’t you glad you haven’t caused my downfall yet?
samurai 7 is a mech anime, right? was never really into those outside of rahxephon…which was really good if you haven’t seen it.
there was anime about this kid that got saved by a mermaid that was pretty good/funny. i don’t remember the name of it, but someone in the anime thread put me on to it.
oooh gungrave, i don’t really remember much about it besides that i thought it was good lol
samurai 7 was based on the kurosawa movie ‘seven samurai’ which was awesome, and the premise itself is badass - a village beset by bandits has no way of defending themselves, and no money to hire defense, so they have to try and finagle a group of desperate/foolhardy/scrappy samurai to come and fight for basically room and board. they manage to get 7, to fight against hundreds of bandits.
the anime should have been great; it was not.
gungrave is still one of the best organized crime series ever made. it was satisfying to watch these two friends rise from lowlife hoodlums to leading a massive crime syndicate.
For fuckin real. The game had the simplest fuckin story then the anime comes out and drops this mob epic.
Brandon Heato.
Samurai 7 was alright, I enjoyed it but it had a lot of problems. I STILL do not understand why they got a different animation team for the one or two episodes that introduced uh…someone, I forgot. But it looked god-awful and out of place. I liked the giant robot dude though, but if I was to watch something like this I would just stick to Seven Samurai or The Magnificent Seven.
I also really enjoyed Gungrave, Outlaw Star, Tenchi Muyo, YuYu, G Gundam and the like. But that’s all pretty typical, nothing new anime wise really interests me. Just the same ole stereotypical cast in some bizarre setting that they plod through.
The only anime I have watched in recent memory that captivated me were Full Metal Alchemist and Cowboy Bebop.
What’s sad is that it took me forever to come up with the title for the latter. Senility is either kicking in, or my wife has damaged my brain.
