SRK Lounge: Word On The Street Is

That’s cuz you ain’t watchin Jojo.

Not sure if this is lounge thread anymore. Or if it absorbed the anime and toonami threads like Cell, the best character from the best anime ever all of you stop being SWBeta taste cancer tier.

Nah just kidding anime sucks cause Liefeld didn’t draw any of it.

I’m reading it, didn’t know there was a new animu of it. Is it one of those OVA’s that is only 3-4 episodes or an actual series?

Nope this is a brand new, current season show, and they plan to animate all 7 volumes starting with Phantom Blood.

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/k1477AynnSESQp3rrLa The current OP.

HunterXHunter remake is going hard as fuck too.

Yea HXH isn’t fuckin around either.

i didn’t finish Samurai 7. i did finish Shigurui Death Frenzy. the anime was on some Terrence Malick shit. still don’t know if i liked it

i didn’t really like Eva outside of the shadow monster, i only saw the first episode of Outlaw Star. Berserk anime was great, hater. never saw Claymore, but i read the manga a bit. didn’t hold my interest.

i guess i’ll check out Jojo. i have been watching Fist of the Northstar on Hulu. i’m about 12 episodes in. Kenshiro is probably one of the least likeable characters i’ve seen. sure he may save a town from time to time, but he’s basically a serial killer. he even stalks his victims slasher film style.

ok, imma check this out. you got 3 episodes. if it’s bad imma whoop yaass

<3

This made my day, try to find “other” means to obtain this later.

Skip the first episode of Bacanno! It is pointless and full of stupid spoilers.

I read some of the spoiler by accident when I was quoting you
Oh, well.

I don’t really remember what episode I saw last. The little bit I watched I watched in 2001 or 2002. Don’t remember.

When I watched it it was at a friend’s place. He only had dubs

Yeah, seriously. It was a PS2 video game with a pretty whacked out storyline first. When it was time to make the anime, the anime team just said “fuck it, we’ll take our own liberties with the story” and it ended up so godlike. That almost never happens when animation studios take liberties with the source material (comics/manga).

A little at a time, mang. Some of these later episodes and characters that show up are funny as fuck.

Fuck you too, Christopher Bunny

Make it 6 episodes. The show tells three different stories that are all linked together, so you probably still won’t know what’s going on by episode 3. Don’t skip the first episode (wtf crotchpuncha  ). Watch it as is.

Yes skip the first episode. It is stupid, with two characters taking up loads of screen time and then never really showing up again while doing flashes of major plot points from later in the show. That shit is Gungrave Episode 1 levels of stupid. Most damning of all is that it’s fucking boring. It’s the only bad episode in the whole show.

First, middle, AND last name. Damn.

It was probably Seto no Hanayome. That show was bonkers as fuck

Fate/Zero is a very recent show that was stupid good too… a 7-way battle royale with legendary historical figures (King Arthur, Alexander the Great, etc) with a really good plot:

The new Lupin III was good to, if not balls to the walls wacky and trippy as fuck. Show reminded me of Mamo.

I don’t watch Fate whatever Night. Me and visual novel shows do not mix. I tried it and fell asleep trying to watch the first 3 episodes of the new one. Not engaging at all to someone who isn’t already familiar with the material I guess.

First two episodes of JoJo was watched, and I really liked it. I’m glad to see Dio get tossed over the stairs in animation form, check that off my bucket list.

The Gungrave PS2 game was pretty cool though, I had a blast playing that a few times. Really enjoyed the level that looked like the inside of the cube from Hellraiser II with the weird ass alien things. Also swinging the casket around to bitchsmack people never got old.

Last day at my current gig. I wonder if they’ll save the worst for last…

ya know that episode was the first time i ever heard them mention the war. ive skipped alot around the episodes since they didnt have any real sense of continuity. but i guess they do.

I could make that agreement to the UBW movie. That was a dumb idea. The FS/N anime I watched without touchin’ the VN, though, had no issues with material concerns. Now, I’m sure Fate/Zero would have an issue possibly (haven’t seen it yet), but I would think that it’d be pretty much like most sequels or prequels in that they’re not gonna spend a lot of time catching people up that never saw the original.

Only the first episode… but they spend 45 minutes doing that shit

The first few episodes are painfully slow, but it pays off when everything comes together a few episodes later.
