it’s a group of people. there are a lot of people that don’t like Trigun because the main character isn’t always “epic.” the dudes that say Vash is lame, ending up being the same ones that get hype over some purple haired loli who beats up grown men. remember, there are people that think CSI is as good or better than The Wire; just an abnormally large percentage of those types of people watch anime.
Nobody is epic because “epic” does not describe people.

I always liked that about Vash though. You get this idea in your head due to stories and people in the show talking about how he is this ultimate world destroying badass, then when you meet the guy he is this humble, happy go lucky dude who is clearly a badass and ends up becoming the myth later on that people already made up about him.

Vash is a GREAT character. Hell, my only problem with Trigun is it got too serious with almost no warning, and the goofy moments stopped.

One Piece is the same arc over and over and all the characters are very stupid mainly because it’s a manga aimed at children.

Same, if they also get out of hand about it. I enjoyed Arcana Heart and didn’t have a problem with that, also got Skullgirls though I didn’t really enjoy the title. On the other hand I also really liked the HNK fighter and the broken mess of fun it brought.
But in this case at least it’s a man defending a man situation. I wonder if there is a rare subgroup of women who really enjoy manly characters in games, always idolizing the male form and hating on their female counterparts while being normal and not butchy. I highly doubt it.

I never watched all of Trigun, because I hated Vash’s character. I don’t call the show trash though. It’s rated highly by most people, so I’m sure it’s probably good. I just don’t like the character. It’s not because he’s not some “epic” fag, though. I’m not big on those types too unless it’s for comedic purposes.

I liked Gungrave, though. Made by the same studio with Cowboy Bebop studio assist, iirc. The first half of the show… episodes 2 through 13, iirc–some of the best story I’ve experienced in the medium. Episode 1, and the 2nd half of the show, are okay, but 2 through 13 were just* so* strong that I had to watch the rest just to get closure on what those episodes set up. Also, you picked a good place to stop watching OP. I think the highest point was the Alabasta/desert arc, then the quality dipped a bit, then tapered off. Quality is still very high compared to similar shows (Bleach, Naruto), but it’s kind of stagnant now. Don’t listen to Vicious Slash… whitey has taste cancer too.

It is the very epitome of what everyone really wants from shonen manga; transformations, fights, and new dudes to fight. There isn’t any fake sweetener of a story, no real plot, and nothing really makes sense.
Is One Piece bad? Nah, but when people act like it is the greatest comic book achievement on earth I want to break the internet so I can’t read their opinions. Or just not post in the thread anymore, either or.
Homeland has been kind of poopy this year. Mr Man being there after the finale has really taking all the momentum from the show. Pretty sad because every other facet of the show aside from story is well done.

The new Jojo’s anime is pretty fuckin good so far. I honestly don’t know your taste in media very well so i am hesitant to recommend much stuff haha. Mainly because I don’t want you wasting your time on something you wont like. I have no idea what your Anime taste is like.
Vash is a great character, in both mediums. Trigun anything is pretty damn good. I even like the movie.
