There’s apparently differences but I don’t care to look them up. But from seeing what he can do and having played Lili in T6/DR, I can say it’s not significant enough like being able to easily see the difference for instance: Heihachi vs Kazuya/Devil Jin or King vs Armor King. I always thought that regarding characters like “clones” if you cannot display a couple moves and tell the difference, then they’re too much alike.
His style is so far away from wingchun I really don’t know why Namco even bother

Is saying that style that Lili and Sebastian use not really being like Wing Chun a complaint unique to them though? I honestly can’t think of many fighting game characters with a move-set that’s supposedly based off a real martial art who have moves that mostly remain faithful rather than just having a couple of faithful aspects. Admittedly, I don’t know much about most martial arts in general an in-depth way, but I think the fact that throwing chi around or juggling people wholesale plays into a lot of things tends to obviate the attempts at realism anyway.
Thinking about it though, the real life style tends to get emulated “accurately” the most seems like it’s Tae Kwon Do. Not sure why that is. Maybe it’s just (mental) bias on my part since Tae Kwon Do is, like boxing, easy to recognize due to the focus on a particular extremity.

I think Tekken’s fighting styles have been wearing thin since 4. Like Steve Fox was last person that made me go “oh, that’s kind of neat”…all the new characters since then feel pretty generic. Tekken Tag feels like they aren’t even trying anymore, like…2 Laws…30 mishimas…etc etc
Also, lili’s move list should include more farting sounds.
