SRK Lounge ver. 20 The Wonder Twins were as useless as candles and flowers for RockB

LOL Wikileaks has leaks to back up an ET conspiracy now? Gotta get dat bait file, I guess.

Nothing can beat flat earthers in the “fucking imbeciles” category, NOTHING!

I don’t even understand how they can use cellphones or create internet sites when satellites that orbit the planet are responsible for such innovations.

Um those satellites are attached to the shell of the giant tortoise that carries the Earth on its back. Get it right, heathen.

I checked the ingredients on my dog’s food…Kelly was right. The first ingredient was ground corn. Girl, I almost fucking puked. I mean, shit.

You all need to check this out

Heh, at least our ancestors had imagination, flat earthers actually claim to use science to prove that the earth is flat.

It makes me queasy just thinking about it…

Yo. To all of you who lost a loved one on 9-11, my condolences. Also, the Wonder Twins were worthless as HELL. Saddening since even an average shapeshifter with at least half a brain can do something. Not these two. They couldn’t pour water out of a cup if you put the instructions on the bottom of it.

…For me, it was Tuesday. Until I saw the news and everything, I mean.

I was in school, and chinese thugs (lame canadian version of bloods, if you will) started cheering about america getting attacked and war and shit. I went to my gf’s house and got in just as the 2nd tower collapsed. It was a shitty day for planet Earth. I shit you not I said “it was Osama bin Laden” the moment I heard about it (he had been in the news a lot for other for bombings in Yemen and shit).

I am just gonna get high and play video games tomorrow though

I hear ya. I was still in the military at the time. When we saw what happened, we knew what was up and headed back to get ready for what was coming. It was bad, but some shit got set straight REAL quick. I won’t be getting high or even drunk this sunday because I promised some friends that I wouldn’t, but some videogames are gonna get hurt. On that you can trust me.

on 9/11 we were in history class and when we switched classes we went to the other side of the building and we could see the towers smoking from the window…wild shit.

You should donate that dog food to a homeless shelter.

I remember the entire media waves being taken over by 9-11. I couldn’t play EQ at the time because my room was too busy being occupied by a latina cutie that was staying with us at the time (sadly, no dear Penthouse moments occurred), but I do remember the radio, tv and internet being CONSUMED with 9-11, and rightfully so.

It got real for me when I saw every government contractor shut down tight. It was one of the few times that I ever thought it was possible that I could very easily be killed by accident. There were armed military guards and barricades at all the plants and everybody was all nerves, so it was conceivable that 1 foolish move could get a nigga shot. I had to roll past a lot of those contractors on the way to work and the military vehicles were nearly blocking the road in some areas. It was pretty frightening. The first time I had ever seen military rifles being carried in public. I wanted to live long enough to go home and mac to the cutie staying with us for an extra week because all the flights were grounded!

Oh, snap! I forgot that I had to drive into downtown Dallas that day to pick up my sister! I was so scared that another attack would happen there. I don’t normally get freaked out by stuff like this really easily, but I remember thinking to be prepared anyway, cause who knew what could happen after all this.

A few years later and what building was about to be blown up, but one of the ones in Dallas. Can’t remember which one, but probably the old Nation’s Bank building. Meh.

yeah i remember not thinking shit was that big of a deal while i was in school, but when i got home the fact that every channel except nickelodeon and cartoon network were running the cbs or nbc newsfeed had me shook.

Yeah, and doing some random Dallas news searching brought me to this. He’s right it’s not that bad! He basically got punished just because he’s a male teacher with swag. The girl was 18 at the time and from a completely different district from where he taught. Basically the exact same thing could have happened at a club, only this time was at martial arts practice. Hell, she could legally be a TOPLESS DANCER and there would be no questioning it. This whole protect the children thing really goes too far. Discuss.

edit: I forgot one very, very, VERY important word. “Male!”

I went to work on 9/11 and I clocked in like normal, went upstairs and turned on my computer and started doing some paper work when I noticed it was very quite. I looked around and no one was in the office so I went to see if they were downstairs. Sure enough everyone was in the break room watching the TV. Some of the ladies were crying and everyone else just looked dumbfounded/shocked. I looked up at the TV just as one of the planes was colliding with the building and I remember thinking that that couldn’t be real. It had to be though or these people wouldn’t be in here acting like they were. I just went back upstairs and started to work. I didn’t want to believe it was real.

I went back downstairs about an hour later because I was still the only one upstairs. I went back to the break room and everyone was still in there watching the TV so I started watching. They were showing the planes hitting the buildings again and I just started to weep. I guess it finally sunk in that a lot of people had just died and I just felt terrible.

My daughter is studying this in school right now. She started talking about it to The Wife the other night and my wife started telling her about what happened while she was at work when this took place. My daughter was like “OMG you were alive when that happened!”. Its pretty weird and made both of us feel kind of old at that moment.

I remember 9/11 vividly, as I’m sure most people do. It’s our generation’s Kennedy assassination. It’s one of those few dates in history that anyone who was older than a baby at the time can say for sure where they were and what they were doing when they heard.

I was working afternoons at the time, so I was asleep when the first tower went down. My roommate banged on my door to wake me up.

“Dude, you need to come downstairs and watch CNN RIGHT NOW.”

I could tell by the tone of his voice that he wasn’t kidding around. I got out of bed and limped downstairs in my sweat pants, barely conscious. Then I saw it the news. It almost didn’t register, a result of being roused out of bed early and not having had my morning coffee yet. It took me a few seconds to realize that this wasn’t some made-for-tv movie, and it wasn’t one of those “what-if” propaganda videos. This was the real deal.

Once my brain had enough time to assess the situation, I truly realized the scope of what had just happened. Everything was about to change. For starters, Arabs were going to be blamed, regardless of whether or not they were actually responsible. The next few days were going to be a massive clusterfuck.

I watched the news for as long as I could before I had to go to work. I was a phone monkey for a fiber-optic internet provider and a lot of our servers were located in New York. So naturally, everything was down. Normally this would mean that our phones would be ringing off the hook, but that day people had better things to do than complain about their internet not working. We had the odd person who would call in, so I had the following conversion a couple times:

“Yeah my internet is down.”

“Our servers were located in New York.”

“Oh.” (awkward silence)

“We’re doing everything we can, just hold tight for now.”

“Okay.”

We had a TV in the office showing coverage, but after a few hours I couldn’t stand it anymore and asked my supervisor if we could just turn it off, at least for a little while.

Yeah, kids are awesome at that.

Man, I do not even give a fuck–

No, let me start again. I give negative fuck about media coverage of 9/11 this year.

Too many corporate news outlets are going to do some crass, borderline exploitative “tributes” when the most respectful thing to do would be to let the anniversary pass with quiet dignity. Fox News is going to be a bukkake of American flags and US military stock footage.

We watched one, one hour thing with Tom Brokah or whatever the fuck his name is and that was it.
