I think they said something along the lines of back+4, 3, run, run cancel, repeat, but I can’t remember exactly. Basically they can choose to block and you can loop it, or they can take the hits and take a combo, or you can throw instead of the run if you’re feeling adventurous.
so freaky I can actually hear “what”
…ugh anyone know a good cure for hangovers?
This isn’t a strike against MK9, but just ebcause the best players play a game, does not mean they actually love it or appreciate what it represents. The need for competition and/or cash winning are the main draws in many cases.
Justin Wong, for example, doesn’t really like 3S but learned the game and became one of the best in the US simply because it would earn him income. I’m sure a few top players in MVC3 are playing for the same reason.
MVC3 IS LAAAAAAAAAAAAME!
Like my post VS LIKE IT!! MUAHAHHAHAHAHAHA!:badboy:
win/win
Imaginary?
“Like” is not enough. We need a “so pringles” button.
Remember PL with DOA? He was US Champ but kept saying the game was garbage.
Why wouldn’t they allow it? Take the hit, infinite blockstun bye-bye, besides, they’re not playing patched versions of MK9 at all, because the game only retains the patches while online.
@Val, Carl loves DoA…it’s one of his favorite games D:
Then who the hell was it who won Evo DOA and then went on a giant rant about how shitty the game was?
I dunno, I know Carl is pretty much universally accepted as the best DoA player in the country, but I’m sure he loves the game…shout-outs to Carl, for teaching me everything I know about fighting games and beasting the shit out of me in Shoto mirrors until I learned to stop jumping and develop a ground game. I’m sure I’ve played over 2k matches with the dude, but it was worth it.
Edit: I really hope Valle and Banana Ken make Top 3, I’d love to see those two play. And fuck homework, otherwise I’d probably be watching this in person >.<
I just checked in #capcom and it seems PL is indeed the one who said DOA4 was garbage after winning it.
That’s pretty damn weird. Then again, it could have been that he loves the series as a whole and just not DOA4.
He can enjoy the game but think it’s a hot pile of shit in terms of a competitive fighting game (which it is).
Well put, especially the last part.
I’m looking forward to me and like, 2 other people teaching all of Michigan how to play 3s once online edition drops.
3s online is a front, it is actually gonna be cfe online
My expectations for that game as so fucking low. I’m going to be very surprised if that game has a decent netcode (which it requires badly).
I’d play it over SF4.
It’s really sad how badly it needs great netcode, I agree. I really hope it makes me quit playing on GGPO it’s so good, but I doubt it, and then 3s will be taken off of GGPO after 3sOEs release, then people will be forced to play with shitty netcode 3s. :shake:
Edit: Holy fuck there’s a ton of double posts lately.
Then again, why do I care about 3s? The only reason I ever had to play was to fool around with Yang. No need anymore with AE!
Because it has the sexiest sprites of all time? And low forward super fucks you until you love it. I’m pretty surprised that I liked AE when I was playing it at MGL, Yun’s great fun and Seth’s changes are for the better, imo.
Edit: sick, I get to watch Jose and Valle play anyways.
If the graphics was that important to me I wouldn’t still be playing ST.
