SRK Lounge The Drama Free Edition...haha I can't even type it without laughing

I have no problem buying ground beef in a tube sleeve. Sure, I usually buy better quality, but if I’m making chili or some shit, trust me, I dont taste any differences.

i dont eat breakfast, although i should. I just never have time for it, like ever. I usually eat breakfast once a year, and that would be Christmas.
lunch I have sammiches or soup, or some noodles or whatever
dinner, i have whatever i got for dinner. I tend to over eat on dinner, and i think this is the worst possible thing I am doing. MANY MANY days I will avoid lunch and breakfast, then eat something massive at dinner, like pasta or drumsticks or some shit.

Your food bill should be easy as shit. I buy for 2 weeks worth of shit. You buy your staples when you need them (butter, condiments, bread, etc etc), then you buy enough deli meat to last you 1-2 weeks, then you buy some fruit and veggies (carrot’s and apples ftw), then you buy like 1-2 cans of pasta sauce, 1-2 bags of pasta, then you buy some meats. Finish with a few sides (frozen veggies, sidekicks, potato, etc), and you’re good to go.

I only eat out about once or twice every week or two, usually when I work weird hours and i get home and im just too tired to cook. I spend a LOT of money on booze though, lol. I’d say I spend about $50-$60 a week on drinking, easily. And then I buy pot lol :stuck_out_tongue:

$100 a month seems REALLY low though. U living off ramen and KD or something? Even when I was broke as fuck and had just moved on my own when I was 17 and lived off a SHIT TON of rice, I was still spending more than $100 a month, and the economy was much better.

Costco/Sam’s Club + coupons (not the fake tv show style) = semi-broken.

you don’t have to have kids to save money on food.

Sunday ads + Walmart price match = fawk yea! more money for booze!

In my house this is how it breaks down (sorta).

Breakfast
Me - Coffee and Cigarettes
Joey - Cup of milk and bowl of cereal. Toast and fruit.
Isabel - Cup of milk, grapes (or some other fruit), crunchers, cereal and puffs. Toast but she only eats off whatever we put on the toast and tosses the rest of the bread.

Lunch
Me - More coffee, Ramen or a samich or something
Joey - Cup of Juice, Ramen or a samich or something. Grill cheese and some fruit. Soup and some fruit.
Isabel - Cup of Juice, grapes/peaches/bananas/some kind of fruit, lots of dry stuff like crunchers and fruit puffs, meat sticks and some fruit chewy things.

Dinner
We all have dinner together and its generally just standard fair. A meat (chicken/beef/fish) with a vegetable and another side.

There are snacks and shit going on in between when we eat. I dont really snack during the day but the kids do.

I could eat Ramen every day. Yum yum yummy yum.
I eat too much to just spend 100$ a month.

Won’t shop for groceries at Walmart. I do every effort I can to keep from giving them money. Hell, I try to stick with my local market whenever possible instead of whatever megamart that may be remotely in the area. Might be part of why my monthly grocery bill is highish, but I end up with superior produce/meats anyway, so I think it balances out in the end.

I seem to have stumbled into the food thread.

Just buy a deep fryer and fry everything possible.

What is this Breakfast you speak of?

breakfast is the key to life.

I blend real mangas into my shakes, whenever I add a daub of low fat ice cream, crushed ice, and milk to my protein.

Fuck Costco, they raise there shit at least $2 of every fucking item within this year…The only cheap shit costco has left are the milk, eggs, those damn 2for $7 6-pack muffins, & Foster Farm Chicken.Yeah i probably should drop costco but i love there free samples…

My new store is Winco’s, holy shit this place fucking cheap as hell & no membership, the only thing is you have bag your own grocery…

The fuck ya blending comics into your shakes for? I get it that paper would be a means to getting fiber and all, but damn…

Imma try to blend some Fist of the North Star mangas, maybe i can get some of that Hokuto Shinken.

I have trouble with stuff with a date, bein a single dude, milk is just an impossibility to use before the date goes (i know there are the anti date people, but something is hard coded in my brain, once milk is past the date it just tastes like garbage, also I already hate milk haha)

so that takes cereal out of the equation for me

my budget meals are like

2 packs of ramen + can of tuna

those packs of frozen pierogies are a buck fitty I think, those with some onion (if i got it) and dat butter so gdlk

WinCo is dope, but they are not anywhere near seattle.

yeah…i drink a lot. just in my average week, i hit the bars prob 2 weekdays for weeknights and then go super hard on friday & sat…and sometimes do sunday funday. it doesn’t help that being an ESL teacher, like every other day someone is either having a going away party or bday.

but really, my frat brother on facebook hit me up (i posted the same thing there) and reminded me who i really am. in college i lived on ramen and baby shrimp for pretty much a year…but yeah, i eat out everyday at work so i’m trying to cut that out and i’mma cop a cheap cookbook and try to level up my shit.

beef is dumb expensive in korea, though so i mainly cook ground pork and samgyupsal (pork belly) bcuz i don’t know how to cook fish or chicken (besides grilling it).

Can you buy cat and/or dog meat at the supermarket? Heard cat is pretty tasty.

I’ve learned to eat on about $15 a week (including cheap beer, usually Steel Reserve).

Breakfast is usually cereal, waffles, or toast with eggs.
Lunch is ramen or soup if I’ve made some a previous night.
Dinner is almost always a one-pot meal that can be eaten for 4-5 days. Spaghetti with kielbasa; rice, beef, and beans in a tortilla; casseroles; and the like. The more servings something makes and the longer it keeps, the better.

At first i thought you were talking about being lactose intolerance before going on a date haha

koreans don’t eat cat, and no you can’t buy dog meat at the supermarket…i do believe there are markets where you can get it though, most people only eat bosintang (dog stew) at restaurants.
