Played dodgeball for the first time in nearly a decade, and I gotta admit it was more fun than I thought it would be. I am actually slightly sore from it. I use to have badass skills back in the day but now all that skill has transformed into brute strength. I was pure offense. Might play again some time soon.
In other news, it seems that those assholes finally have some interest in SSF4 PC.** HA.** What a fucking joke. I really wish that SSF4 PC thread was still around. There were some pitiful souls in there. I should be somewhat excited about this as I have hardly played the damn game, but I am expecting a release in August or some shit and at this point the game seems hardly relevant. Looking forward to the trolling on this matter. 
Dodgeball and kickball were the most fun sports to play in grade school. It really sucked when they shut the shit down once you got to high school.
Our coach was cool too. He’d make it super exciting by throwing extra balls into the game once in awhile.
I was really fortunate to be able to continue dodgeball, four square, and “crab soccer” in high school. The Des Moines schools here have a school called Central Campus in the center of the city where you travel from your main high school to there for a couple hours a day to take classes that wouldn’t have enough students to support in an actual high school such as higher advanced placement classes, odd languages (where I got my start on Japanese), radio, fashion, etc. If you were lucky enough your class might alternate one day a week with PE and the PE at this place was amazing for having those games.
Dodgeball, Kickball and basketball was banned from my elementary school because it resulted in too many bleedy noses.
I was lucky to not get hit in the face during a game of dodgeball. Kickball and volleyball, not so much.
Kickball I pitched it and the dude kicked it and I got a comebacker to the head.
Volleyball I went to the net and the opposing dude spiked it, ball falcon punched me between the eyes. Literally caused me to fall back in a way that my legs flew out from under me and I landed on my back. Man I wish I had video of that.

Wow you guys really aimed to kill . I played a good chunk of dodgeball as well. We also had this weird variation of dodgeball… I forget what it was called. We just called it “Every Man For Himself.” Basically draw a big ass square instead of a baseball diamond, perhaps a bit smaller. Everyone starts from the outside and there is like 6 balls in a line. When it starts, run inside and get the balls… then just freaking survive. If you get hit you can go outside the square and if a ball goes out of bounds you can get it to try to hit a kid that’s inside so you can get back in. The winner [if there ever was] to be the last one standing and everyone is out.
Rarely… RARELY does that happen given the amount of balls flying everywhere. I guess its just something our PE teachers let us do so they can grab a smoke or something since it required little to no supervision. :wonder:
Also at the whole “Wanga” shit… there is cannabis in there already? Do they need that much of a high to put all that other shit already? I mean if you don’t have the cannabis I mean… I guess for got it if your that much of a crackhead. But rat poison and DETERGENT?! WTF man?!
I rented [media=youtube]Xs2hVEJ530Q"[/media] last week (which I actually enjoyed more than I was expecting), and after I watched it, I watched it again with different language options- I do this sometimes just to hear what a show/movie sounds like in French/Spanish etc.
I noticed that the “sexy” voice of the main character in the Spanish dub was doing kind of a baby-doll thing, and in the French dub her voice was lower and more sultry. The MvC3 example would be Tron as compared to Storm, I guess.
It was interesting to see what was stereotypically sexy for different audiences. Japan tends to skew rather young, which is why in anime it sounds weird to some people when the voice actor tries to match the tone of a young girl/woman’s voice- there’s something lost in translation, and it comes across as shrill or odd instead of youthful.
I didn’t like dodgeball when I was a kid, because it ended up being “gang up on the fat kid”.
I was fat in gradeschool and it was still fun for me. I didn’t really have an amazing throw so I’d cheap it out and toss it at people’s feet so they couldn’t catch it. I was pretty damn good at dodging balls though usually ending up as the last out or the person who wins the game.
Some of you guys are talking about sexy voices. What do you think is the sexiest or one of the sexiest voices you’ve ever heard? I think the woman who voices The Major in the english dub of Stand Alone Complex has a really hot voice. It sounds kind of weird but I do like females with a bit of bass in their voice. There are way to many women out there stuck trying to sound like they did when they were 13. It’s just annoying.
(Damn. I was going to go for a walk, but I still need to clean AND can’t let the room air out because of the damn dog being here. Hmmm…)
Ugh. All this dodgeball talk just reminds me of how much I’ve always hated P.E. It’s one of few things I ever got a B due to sheer lack of effort.
I mean, even if I weren’t horrible at sports or actually tried (more than the little bit I did; I wasn’t completely lazy about it just so that the asshole coach over us won’t be on my case constantly), given the amount of things we did that were team sports, even if I did competently, someone else would just inevitably fuck it up. What was the point of it? That small amount of time was hardly enough exercise or “fun” (at least for the losing team or the people who got smacked in the face by things) and those shorts we had to wear…so degrading; it’s part of the reason I’ve never worn shorts again and never will.
Such horrible memories. Argh…

I remember that I used to do that for much the same reason: to see how the mood changed with the language (or if the subtitles were even good; if it was dubbed, to see if there was a rare case of good foreign language dubbing in live action).

I agree with this. “The Major”'s voice actor has an excellent voice in general; I think she’s the same woman that sings some of the Silent Hill songs.
I think Million and I agree, though, that Laura Bailey’s voice for Lust from Fullmetal Alchemist (Brotherhood) is the sexiest overall (appropriately enough).
Yea Mary McGlynn (Major) has a really sexy voice. She pulled it off well in Cowboy Bebop as Julia to. For me I really like Wendee Lee’s voice when she’s pullin the sexy tones and Jessica Rabbit will forever give me those “God thats hot” Goosebumps. Neither of them are terribly attractive woman but their voices really get to me.

Well this is peculiar to say the least: I HAD port forwarding software on my computer but all copies of it have mysteriously been deleted…
That is to say… the program has been uninstalled and any folder the program was located in, has disappeared without a trace. I’ve had a couple of trojans on my computer that I suspect was brought in through the ports I opened and forwarded… maybe someone is behind this?
From what I’ve been told, unless you forward a port like 80, 800, etc, this should be impossible…
