3rd generation Bulldozer, Steamroller. Will still be AM3+ compatible, which is one of the biggest motivations for me. A lot of AMD fans are just skipping this generation. I don’t need or want no UEFI and I hope AMD doesn’t go that route next gen. :tup:

If there is one thing I suck at, it’s changing out PSU’s.
I have to literally “unplug one, plug one” into the same slot so I don’t forget something.
Which I think I have to do for my current computer, as it was a cheap tower that came with a pre-mounted PSU.
The POS keeps making a clicking sound, cause I’m sure it’s a cheap supply. But I have an older computer that I had a new PSU put in a few months ago, I could do a quick swap.
Dammit, gotta break through the plastic ties.

There’s not much that you can plug in wrong. You plug in the main 24-pin cable, 8-pin 12 volt connector for the CPU, PCI Express if you have one, and your peripherals. None of those can be plugged in backwards or in the wrong slot unless you’re applying some serious force. Don’t be scared. Just securely plug em in like legos and try it out.
I did manage to force a DDR stick into the slot backwards one time, though… Sleepiness + Frustration = mistakes.:tup:

You can’t. Which is what surprised the fuck outta me too once I realized what i had done. I’ve since come to learn that sometimes having experience means being so SURE that you’re doing it right that you’re actually doing it much more wrong than what is actually possible. 
Actually, I agree. I just don’t like sports in general. I watch them sometimes, but unless you devote to the entire season(s) and really keep up with it it’s kinda pointless. Much rather spend that time gaming or something. :tup:

What, did you break the stick? The port? Somethin’ had to snap to let it get that far. You’d never physically be able to push it in enough to lock it in place unless you broke something.
No it didn’t break. The plastic on the motherboard gave just enough to allow the connectors to click into place and the system booted up to a ball of smoke. Which refused to pass the boot loader over the OS, I might add. So don’t try this method of booting. Unless your desired output is your roommate asking you what that smell is. :tup:
