I wonder if it’s a fair assessment that my generation is atypically nostalgic. Certainly, we love our old tv shows and pop culture, but the generations before us are wont to speak of “the good old days.”

There were at least 3 major generation/culture shifts between the late 90s and now, maybe more. Pre-internet, dialup, broadband, and now we are shifting into mobile. We have so much to be nostalgic of, whereas all the other generations get maybe the day before.
I’ve often said I feel lucky to have been born when I was (83). I remember pre-Internet, lousy Internet, and when cars
stopped being ugly again. I’m still floored how fast 3G is compared to my old 14.4k.
As made up as it is, I wouldn’t be surprised if J-Tranny metal was an actual genre of music.
That game was so disappointing, it was a shame to because Crackdown was a really good game.

cheh, I have regrets about Crackdown 2… looking back, it doesn’t seem like a “full price” game. Part 2 should’ve been a “budget” title released at 20 or 30 bucks. It’s one of those where there’s not much reason to play again after you’ve gone through the game at least once in co-op. The other 2 guys I played that with haven’t ever gone back to it either.
I’ve hated dealing with this one particular claimant lately at work… she has the most annoyingly complicated claim situation I’ve ever seen in all my time of working there. It’s messed up in so many different ways and for so many reasons you’d lose count and most people would probably have a brain aneurysm trying to figure it all out. She’s overpaid for quite a few different reasons, and of course still feels that she is entitled to continue receiving benefits forever. It’s funny to see any co-worker’s reaction when I tell them the “brief” summary of what’s going on with her claim situation…it’s like that scene where Architect is speaking to Neo.
I’d love to go back in time just to punch everyone that had a hand in bringing the very idea of these benefits into existence…eh, that may be a bit unfair, as they probably could not have predicted just what a convoluted mess it would eventually become later on in the 21st century. (the idea was also apparently born out of the desperate times of The Great Depression, of course) It would be interesting to go back to those early times and tell various political figures that “hey…in the year 2012, there are some people who lie in various ways to a computer automated system when they get fired or quit their job… this system then grants them monetary benefits for a few years.” It would be interesting to see how they react to hearing this information.
So was the first game. 360 has a very bad track record of releasing lame half games, that should have just been XBLA games. The first crackdown was a major letdown, and only sold well AT ALL due to the shitty marketing involving the Halo 3 beta.
prototype 1 was fun in a bun, if only minute changes are made iw ould gladly prototype again all over the place, also i guess you can dual wield so already fun
Na, I don’t need a new rig to play Diablo. I just want to get current CPU and Memory. I have a 3ghz Athlon 3 core unlocked to 4 cores, which I may or may not replace, since it’s plenty fast already and I haven’t even OC’ed it. But my memory is 2GB DDR2, which isn’t worth upgrading. So new mobo and memory it is, but I’m still not ruling out Intel, who I really hate Intel, but they serve my purposes as of now for the reasons stated above. It’s just so much more expensive to get what I want out of a 1155 chipset.
Another alternative is to just take the damn heatsinks off my memory. Yeah, that’s proally what I’ma do. :tup:

It hurts my soul to say this, but AMD isn’t even worth buying right now. Their new stuff is a joke, and Intel completely surpasses them with almost every CPU. Hell, the i5 that RockB picked up is cheaper AND more powerful than AMDs 8 core…

to an extent because of it. Now, I can watch the show objectively, and concede that he contributed much of the humor to the show. Especially his bromance with Strong in the show. That’s usually a funny aspect of shows, IMO. Scrubs, Cougar Town, etc.
Cougar Town is really funny, that reminds me. BFFs is, too. I also discovered Up All Night this season, which makes me lol often. Last Man Standing, too.

Yep. Still going with AMD for a number of reasons. I’m probably not buying Bulldozer. If I upgrade my CPU at all it’ll be a Zozma 4 core unlocked to 6 cores (I hope) or whatever new CPU they have coming out of the pipe. Also, I’m still in the market for a x16/x16 Crossfire setup. I cannot find ANY info on how PCIX 3.0 x8 compares to x16 to make my decision on.
Their new one is called Piledriver I think. Supposed to not be a total flop like Bulldozer.
Waiting on Anarchy Reigns to drop is physically taking a toll on me, fuck you Platinum and your hype.

Seriously, throughout that whole show, she was second only to Larisa Oleynik for me. One year after that show, I see her again and wonder what the fuck happened.
As an aside, I don’t know wtf Larisa was thinking. All these gorgeous women cuttin’ their hair off into a boy’s hairdo makes me sick.
