You go crazy every time anyone bring sup WHY something is so powerful. IF we want to use something other people banned I think it’s pretty important to discuss why it was banned so we can make an informed decision. I personally think most of the legendaries are lame, and you can’t possibly argue that an environment with mew two in it doesn’t make a bunch of other stuff completely not playable. In addition to the fact that they ARE broken and over centralizing, a bunch of them are only available from events, or have items/moves only available from events. So unless you REALLY love legendaries, and have been playing since ruby/sapphire, and have gone to all the events, Ubers are pretty important to seperate from everyone else. I could at least VAGUELY understand wanting to ignore ubers, if everythign was actually reasonably available(I’d still disagree because most legendaries are lame).
Random shit people finds broken shouldn’t be banned. If a Pokemon’s set is incredibly good, then stick with it and allow it to thrive. But it is shit like the uber Legendaries and stuff that can exploit Evasion (which makes walls with any semblance of attack practically unbeatable) that makes the game unfun.
It’s not a case of ‘this Pokemon is good, I don’t wanna play it!’ it’s '‘this Pokemon literally outclasses every single other Pokemon in that role and makes it so that if you don’t play the specific Pokemon with that specific set than you are 9/10 going to lose to the person that does’.
well again, the biggest problem with the powerful legendaries is that, I have a good celebii, I have access to the game cube pokemon game for good jirachi’s, I have access to basically everything but mew and manaphy, but it’d be pretty ridiculous to expect everyone to have that stuff. So even going by like, marvel logic where there’s only a few playable top tiers. I’ts like marvel, if you had to unlock him in marvel super heroes, and then had to transfer him up through street fighter vs x men, and marvel 1. And to play sentinel you had to go to gamestop 3 years ago etc…

manaphy is only stopped by water absorbing pokes and ferrothorn, which at most you’ll carry ferrothorn and one of those water absorbing pokes, the other 4/6 of your team is probably destroyed by him
there is also no way in hell gyarados stops him when a grass knot OHKOs after SR with no boosts at all (it’s an option it can run)
outside of kyurem, kyurem-b, slaking, and regigigas, all other pokes with BST > 600 are ridiculous
kyurem and kyurem-b have that ice typing that sucks donkey dick and makes them way easier to revenge kill (on top of making it harder for them to switch in), to go along with pretty bad movepools (what they can use is just about all they get)
slaking and regigigas have terrible abilities

Things I’ve noticed so far: Weather isn’t really good anymore, the new pokemon introduced are so good, that the slot you’d normally use for a weather abuser, is much better used for a mega.
Blaziken is a really solid counter against Aegislash.
Aegislash is a really solid Pokemon.
Taunt is super useful this time around.
Assault Vest isn’t as much as a game changer as it sounded like it would be. Not being able to use anything but attacks is quite a heavy blow.
Compared to the overpowered bullshit introduced, Blaziken is good, but not all that great.
Genesect gets wrecked by a whole plethora of threats this time around, less good than I expected him to be from the performance he put on last gen. He might be better with an assault vest, but either way his old set is looking a little more than obsolete.
Weather drop isn’t because the new pokemon are so good. The Weather dropped because Auto-Weather isn’t permanent anymore.
Donphan probably a solid counter to aegislash. It can take a swords danced move on switch in and stab earthquake.
The special attack set says hi.
automize and mixed sets are the scarier aegislash sets, they’re really good and practically have no counters (it still doesn’t like facing bulky ground types but those sets can deal a lot to those ground types)
blaziken and genesect are really stupid
blaziken is basically easy mode and unless the opponent carries azumarill AND talonflame, you’ll lose to it
genesect would be manageable if it didn’t have download and STAB u-turn, it’s the best offensive pivot to ever exist, just because of this god damn combination, it’s stupid, the only bad thing you can say about it is it’s trollish speed stat but even then, he’s way too good and i hope he gets banished to the depths of ubers
ps. donphan sucks ass, the only thing it’s good for is spinning on a sun team, excadrill does everything way better than donphan on top of being an offensive threat, don’t underestimate excadrill’s bulk, ground/steel is an awesome typing and he has base 110 HP, which is really freaking good
