Assault Vest Ho-oh with Regenerator sounds quite terrifying. Even with Stealth Rocks its defenses are monstrous enough to shrug many standard strength attacks then zip out of there.

Honestly, some legendaries and evasion are the only things that need actual banning. Anything beyond that isn’t really necessary.
Key words being, in Hackmons. ie where it gets recover, any ability and max evs in all stats. I imagine Giratina will be less common in hackmons now that rapid spin isn’t the only way to remove hazards. Anyways, it was just a thought, we don’t have to try them.

I agree Skymin is dumb, but Manaphy has hard counters and checks. Manaphy isn’t getting past Vaporeon, Lanturn, Rotom W, Keldeo, Mega Gyarados, Jellicent, or Jynx without Energy Ball, so a 2 attack set isn’t really worth it in my opinion. The 3 attack set still gets walled and stalled by Blissey and Chansey and if it has an Orb it’ll end up killing itself. If you’re super worried about Manaphy, Heliolisk can switch in immediately on any Manaphy, take a pittance from its attack and pose an immediate threat with a STAB electric move. Even if Manaphy does manage to get a KO, base 100 speed isn’t enough to avoid being revenge killed.
Swords Dancers and Dragon Dancers are more threatening than Manaphy IMO. Heck +2 Jolly Terrakion CC hits harder than +3 Timid Manaphy does with Hydro Pump outside of rain.
but those pokemon can’t completely recover HP in a single turn and not care, he breaks rain teams, he’s more threatening on a rain team than kingdra ever will be (considering kingdra was the main reason to run a rain team before last gen)
yea it has counters but most people only carry one of those a team, it’s bad when something gives no fucks about 5/6 of your team, it’s not hard to get 2 tail glows off when you can just heal yourself to full life with no worries in the rain (manaphy is always played in the rain, ALWAYS)
it was broken in gen IV when tail glow only gave +2, and it was super broken in gen V, it’ll probably be super broke again
it also gets calm mind to make it bulkier than it already is, you do not want to deal with this thing, when manaphy was allowed in gen IV, rain had like a 300% increase in usage because of this thing
sword dancers and dragon dancers can eventually be worn down due to lack of recovery, not manaphy, you can’t compare them to this little shit because of hydrorest, nothing else that can do this has anywhere close to the offensive power that manaphy has, it also doesn’t help that manaphy has really good bulk to go with a great defensive typing
Random Question: For Pokemon requiring stones to evolve, do you have to reach the level that the preevolution would’ve learned a move in order for the Move Relearner to teach you said move?
I only ask because I was doing an experiment where I evolved a Pokemon early in an attempt to get a move from the Move Relearner, but the move didn’t appear anywhere on the list. So I’m just making absolutely sure before I waste my time.
Note: I am fully aware that the Move Relearner can teach a Pokemon moves that it doesn’t learn until later, that is why it’s confusing me that this happened.
