Any bulky Ground type that can kill with Earthquake can technically counter Aegislash. Since it’s immune to Shadow Sneak, Diggersby can outspeed and kill with EQ as well.

Blaziken doesn’t deserve to be banned. He’s a huge threat, but is taken down easily if you play smart.

In close to 60 battles I have yet to lose to a Blaziken or its Mega counterpart.
Yea, I know lol… I’d much rather discuss possibilities and strategies for the new Pokemon than argue about Blaziken’s 3 generation old, transparent ass. It always goes like this anyway:
Poster 1: "Blaziken is OP/broken/etc…"
Poster 2: "No, it’s not… All you have to do is insert strategy here"
Poster 1: "That won’t work because Blaziken carries insert coverage move here"
Poster 3: "Then just run insert check/counter here"
Poster 1: "Blaziken still wins because insert check/counter here can’t take a +2 Flare Blitz/HJK"
Poster 3: "Don’t let it set up… Get in and kill it before it can"
Poster 4: “No. Blaziken has 6 moves, is always at +2 Speed and +2 Attack, and HJK/Stone Edge have 100% Acc.”
I’d rather not go through that for a hundredth time.
it was literally to the point where if you didn’t run azumarill and talonflame, you probably got rocked by blaziken
baton pass sets it over the edge as priority is the only thing to stop it and since breloom is absolutely nowhere to be seen, aegislash can’t do jack shit to blaziken, same for scizor and mamoswine, that leaves you with azumarill and talonflame as your only options
forcing people to always run the same two pokemon is a bad thing
How good is Pokemon Showdown for testing teams? I have a feeling most of the people I fight have no clue what they’re doing.
Right now, terrible. Bad players, bugs, and overall shitty implementation of the new factors. It’s called a beta for a reason…

I’ve been thinking, it’s probably a good idea to upload our battle videos and publicly post the codes for entertainment/ educational purposes** after** the tournament. ( with consent from both parties I guess)
Not everyone has a capture card so it might be a good way of viewing the matches without too much trouble- that is, unless one person could take all the codes and upload the matches on youtube?
Does anyone have a 3DS capture card?
