Pokemon Showdown’s X/Y server is full of bugs atm-- i.e. Aegislash getting trapped by Magnet Pull, so take what you see there with a grain of salt. Not to mention all the robotic drones and douchebags that cry “HAX” when you get a critical, or they miss/get fully paralyzed.

Yes, but ghost types cancel that out as they are no longer affected by those kinds of abilities in Gen VI.

Ghost types aren’t affected by moves or abilities that prevent switching, and Aegis is part ghost.

i’m gonna assume that pokeshowdown’s paralyze/confusion calculator might be messed up because aegislash shadow sneaked/did other things to kill umbreon about 8 times in a row while being parafusioned near the end there
yea, that’s why i haven’t used it yet, pokemon online should be okay but showdown just is so much prettier (yay)

Actually the games’ calculations feel really weird this gen. I’m finding out many of the Pokémon I’ve caught in non-Safari Zone areas have 31 Ivs in 1 or 2 stats, some even 3. I’ve noticed an extreme leniency on Shiny appearances (except for me =/ ). On the other hand, things like move accuracy and appearance rates seem behave outside of the realm of the statistics they represent.
But isn’t the standard set Flare Blitz/ HJK/ Protect/ Swords Dance or Baton Pass? So on paper Azumarill serves as a bonafide counter vs the standard.
I’ll have like 8 teams by the time the tournament starts… You guys better stop slackin’ :nunchuck:

talonflame can’t switch in if SR is up, since talonflame is always running max Atk, the most HP EVs i’ve seen on a set is 232
252 Jolly +0 Life Orb Blaziken HJK vs 232 HP / 0 Def Talonflame : 48.45 - 57.18%, 81.25% to OHKO after SR
i don’t think i need to check a +2 blaziken
it’s a very reliable revenge killer, but it can’t be a counter as he can’t switch in
now that i’m looking at it, i might just run a blaziken with stone edge just so he can sweep freely and have nothing to worry about, although missing a stone edge sucks but still
Man, you’re lucky. I have a MASSIVE team crisis all the time…I have no problem breeding and EV training multiple Pokemon, I just can never settle on a single team…there’s SO many different options and combinations and different mons I want to try that I can never settle on a team. 
By the way, does anyone have a Togepi/Togetic? I wanna start breeding wish onto mons so I can eventually get Wish Vaporeon again. :3

@Mood4food77 I’m just reminding you that 8 out of 10 competitive battlers out there follow the generic standard for damn near everything, which is their downfall. They usually cling to convention until someone changes it for them.

Someone in post game gives you a Togepi*(google that shit, because I don’t remember who or where)*, so yeah, Togepi is in the game. Bulky Togekiss also gives no fucks about a Blaziken, btw… Man you can’t throw a rock without hitting a Blaziken check/counter, lol…
Please run Blaziken with Stone Edge, so I can see whether you give up Swords Dance or Protect, because I know you’re damn sure not giving up your STAB options
