Yea, you can do Lv.100 battles, but that would require training your teams all the way to Lv.100. In the long run, it’s more practical to just play the standard, especially when trying out different teams/sets.
not gonna lie I love my blaziken lmao
with the weather nerf though he’s def not as threatening than the previous gen.
I hate lv.50 battles because the values do really awkward stuff sometimes. I hate how GF tries to make that the standard, which is weird because in D/P you could auto-level to 100.
So where’s Mega Gengar? I thought it was just as Uber(lol) as Mega Blaziken(double lol)… Why isn’t it raping mothers and killing fathers?
Or did everyone figure out that its made of glass and will faint if you look at it hard enough?
Not many people have a decent Gengar, which is likely the reason why he’s so prevalent. Also, there are some stupid people (lol) that don’t know how or where to get the Gengarite.
I think people are overreacting and passing judgement on things way too early when the generation hasn’t even had time to develop. This probably comes from them thinking they can accurately predict the viability of a Pokemon just by looking at it’s move pool/stats, because they’ve been playing long enough and “know” how the game works. This is true to an extent, but at the end of the day, it’s an inference and nothing more.
You mean the Gengarite that is literally just handed to you? People seriously can’t locate it?
No wonder I’m killing Mega Blazikens like I’m Colonel Sanders with my in-game team…
The player base really isn’t that good outside of SRK and a couple of Smogon peeps.
Seriously, though… my SRK peeps are too good. Shout-outs to @Phantom Angel and @Ninjanuity
@zman804 straight whooped my ass on a multiple occasions, and I have yet to beat Ninjanuity. Came very close last time but, that Mega Genger lived a freakin’ Draco Meteor from my Noivern… I was shocked
Speaking of Mega Gengar Smogon made an Ubers self forum, some of the non legendary Pokemon that have threads are:
-Chansey/Blissey
-Aggron
-Aegislash
-Tyranitar
-Karbink
-Skarmory
most people are bad at competitively playing the game… not surprising
Most of those make some sort of sense, but fucking Carbink?!
The only logical reason for that one would be its Rock/Fairy typing granting it free switch-ins on the Uber Dragons(which comprise 75% of all Ubers)for Screen setting and Rock dropping…
He counters Ho-oh apparently shrug
EDIT: Oh yeah and Fairy types suck cause they have low defense and can’t take hits from Dragon types lel
Yeah, I’m gonna stop listening to theorymon and numbers and just play. Too many peeps out here trying to make names for themselves by creating movesets/“cores”/tiering and speculating on things that haven’t actually been tried or experimented with.
Numbers don’t win matches, smart reads/plays do.
I was gonna wait till November to announce this, but I figure now’s a good time.
1st SRK 6th Gen Pokemon Tournament!!!
I’m only expecting about 8 sign-ups, but if we get more I’ll adjust things.
Matches will start in two weeks. Single 6v6 LV 50 (or 100 if you and your opponent agree to it.)
No two of the same Pokemon (forms included. No two Rotom forms for example.)
No pokemon of the same evolution line (no Charmeleon and Charmander. Gardevoir and Gallade-like mons are okay however.)
Mewtwo, Xerneas, and Yveital are banned (If someone makes a good case against Zygarde then he’s banned as well.)
Sleep Clause is in effect.
Any other rules you all want I’ll add.
is it a bad idea to super train your pokemon all the way from the get go?
Nah, but there are faster ways to train once you beat the game.
I felt bad slacking on super training but I got like 8 reset bags and Ill just do the horde method.
RE: SRK tournament- Po is in. A fair warning to my future opponent(s), I am extremely lazy and will not have anything at lvl 100 because I’m not grinding like I did in high school, so be warned.
why no two rotom forms? different types and they have a different move, so they don’t perform the same role (although no one actually runs multiple rotom forms on the same team but still, i don’t see a problem with it, the different type really sets them apart)
and why no two pokemon of the same evo line, chansey and blissey brings you a good special wall combo and i think we can all agree that porygon2 and porygonz don’t fill the same role, duoblade and aegislash play differently as well (i think these are the only 3 lines affected by it)
zygarde stays
sleep clause, evasion clause, moody clause, OHKO clause, same species clause
Well this seems cool:
