Woah now, even if I was making a banlist the birds wouldn’t belong anywhere on it, and Zygarde is extremely debatable (as it is right now with those stats.)

They’re not much stronger than some regular Pokemon, though. Only the cover legendaries and event ones deserve to get banned.

Legendaries don’t automatically equal broken. Solid stats and overpowered stats are 2 different things. There are “normal” pokemon with matching or higher base stats than the Legendary birds.
so? “if it’s legendary, it should be banned” is a very simple, consistent, and not something you can tamper with. you don’t have to gauge things.
if you have a rule like “if it’s legendary, it should be banned” then yes, regigigas should be banned.
That’s not the rule, though… Just because it’s legendary lore-wise doesn’t mean it’s extremely powerful. No reason to ban them.

If we ban Legendaries on a rule that avoids bias, then it’d be banning Cover Legendaries as pretty much all of them are busted as it is (your feelings on Black Kyurem notwithstanding).
If you’re banning the birds, you might as well ban all the trios, all the small legendaries(i.e. Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, etc.), and Goodra/Hydreigon/Garchomp/Salamence/Tyranitar/Dragonite/Metagross…
I’m not down with banning like that, especially since Mega Evolution puts those guys on par or better than all the mons I just mentioned. Or do you want to ban Mega Evolution too?

yes, ban the trios, yes ban the covers… if you want a simple banlist it’s by far the easiest to implement. not to mention it helps with the pre pokebank access.
I dont see how a universal ban would tread down a slippery slope territory at all. it’s not a ban on effectiveness, it’s a ban on legendaries which happen to include a large portion of the strongest pokemon. i suggest it as the least arbitrary ban and you tried to make it even more arbitrary, please don’t misunderstand lol.
