(Gods, I finally get to sleep and the damn tournament sign-up starts and fills up.)
If there’s still room, then you can put me down for the simulator tournament @phantasy so long as my making it potentially uneven isn’t actually a problem or something.
I’m assuming anything goes for it that’s still currently allowed in OU including the currently suspected stuff?
If it goes on Pokemon Showdown’s OU simulator it goes. You can check it on their ranked ladder, if your team is breaking some sort of rule there will be a popup and it won’t match you up.
I’ll add you in, I’m keeping signups open til tonight.
oh, if the showdown tournament starts saturday, i won’t be able to do it then as i will be working with my uncle the whole day (job is from 8-11, so i won’t be home at all), just a heads up, any other day until the 19th i’m fine

Finally found another good match of Ubers. I had thought Xerneas was pretty “meh” until this match just because every other match we’ve seen it people are trying obviously whore White Herb Geomancy and end up dying or outright wasting the boost: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ubers-84665561
Of course, I also had the misfortune of coming across a really incompetent Eeveelution team in replays, which tempts me to try to play one for the tournament. I still find it weird that people don’t automatically assume that every Clefable has Magic Guard. In situations where I haven’t been carrying Flame Orb or Toxic Orb myself, I’ve had people status with me with Burn or Poison like it’s going to do anything with Magic Guard. I can understand people not realizing that Leech Seed doesn’t affect Magic Guard pokemon, especially since I forgot myself until I came back, but the other things…
But, yeah, since nothing is immune to Fairy and people tend not to play defensive Fire types between Stealth Rock and Water attacks & Earthquake & Stone Miss (oh my!) being everywhere, very little seems to get in the way of Calm Mind Moonblast Clefable if you can’t 2HKO it or don’t have Heatran.
That Eeveelution team lol. It was clear he wasn’t even trying any sort of synergy.
I’m actually not sure whether Magic Guard or Unaware is the common set. To be fair I’ve run into more Unaware Clefables than Magic Guard ones.
I think people believe that once a clefable starts CM up it has unaware but usually that’s for cosmic power and stored power plus once I get burned I would take damage. Guess people forget clefable got a buff and moonblast his for 95 before STAB.
If everything goes well I’ll start the Wi-Fi tournament on Friday. Sign-ups end Midnight on Thursday.
