His ending tone aside*, I have to agree with him somewhat @Inferoman–unless you’re deathly afraid of Prankster Sableye, there’s little reason to have Poison Jab over Toxic, especially since most Grass or Fairy pokemon either have their way with Gliscor or die to it already. Only situation where it seems like it might legitimately help is against Whimsicott.

That said, if it’s been working for you for whatever reason, then by all means, stick with it. Isn’t bothering me. I still say should battle some time though.

In the meanwhile, I’ve discovered that I don’t really like Greninja. Or, at least, I don’t really like it on my much improved but still troubled Rain team. I need to switch him with…something. I should probably switch Fortress too since I’m so tired of the whole Stealth Rock-Rapid Spin “game”, even as much as Forretress is the only Bug/Steel type I currently like. I think I may try that Assault Vest Escavalier set r00ster22 posted on the last page in its place:

I am always down to play some games on wifi I use smogon rules with my teams because I play a lot of different people. All our FC’s are on the first page of the other pokemon thread.

i’m not angry, only that one time where i flipped a poo on infernoman, it’s frustrating to see that one simple little change could make his team 2394242 times better and he still refuses to see it

forrey isn’t that good this gen, especially because of the buff to defog, he has a lot of competition for a spinner

you must use sythesis on mega venusaur, even on a rain team, he has no recovery outside of leech seed (which you aren’t running, i’ll get to that later), you need it, it’s part of what makes him stupid, having sythesis is a must on mega venu

while sleep powder seems like a reliable option, i have found that it actually killed momentum too much to use, using leech seed over it makes him a much bigger threat, if they don’t have a grass type, you can aimlessly use it, it makes him an impenetrable wall, trust me, you’ll like this a lot more

use rotom-w over rotom-c, they will fill the same role and hydro pump gets boosted in the rain, i don’t care how much you hate seeing rotom-w, it will literally make your team 29408320 times better and pairs up so much better with mega venusaur and steel types (there’s a reason he’s number 1)

why didn’t you use escavalier in the first place, he is probably the 2nd best user of AV after conkeldurr, and now that he’s on a rain team he’ll fuck shit up, forrey really doesn’t do anything and escavalier is a scary mofo to switch into

replace greninja with a setter, skarmory should work here, i’d use this one

it sets rocks up (which are super important this gen with all the fire types out there), gets rid of hazards on your team, and is a great physical wall to pair up with mega venusaur and escavalier, this is your utility, it does things that the rest of your team can’t do (it also does this better than forrey ever could)

Rules:
This is a no-mega edition, so no Megavolutions.
Standard tournament rules apply (No OHKO’s, Moody, Evasion items and moves, and sleeping more than one Pokemon, no same Pokemon, etc.)
No banned Pokemon (I’ll dig up the list later.)
Starting this tournament, if you go past your deadline for matches the most inactive player will be banned temporarily from participating in tournaments. If you do it again after you’re unbanned you will be barred from any tournament I run.
