everyone is hyping up azumarill because it is going to be awesome, it can now do the one thing we’ve always wanted it to do and that was revenge dragon types
The way you guys keep talking about Azumarill makes me want to raise one myself…
Revenging dragons was Mamoswine’s job. Azumarill will be used the same way as last gen, wall-breaking and revenging frail things that don’t resist Water. And with STAB Play Rough, it actually 2HKO’s Jellicent now, its biggest counter last gen. The only sure-fire counter I can think of is Tentacruel (resists Water, Fighting, Fairy and Ice), who we’ll probably not see much off due to the rain nerf.
tentacruel was OU in gen IV without rain, it’ll probably still be OU, it’ll probably still be the best defensive spinner, he still has that anti-metagame typing, great speed, and awesome neutral coverage (which got better because of fairy), he’s also one of the few users of toxic spikes

Tentacruel can’t wall Azumarill with Belly Drum. It might have to start running sludge bomb/wave to handle Azumarill.

Carbink, maybe? Rock/Fairy typing. Solid defenses, learns Sneaky Pebbles naturally, has Sturdy,but its 4x weak to Bullet Punch and weak to Water, Grass, and Ground.
EDIT: Yo. Defog now removes ALL OBSTACLES ON BOTH SIDES OF THE FIELD, INCLUDING YOURS AND THE OPPONENT’S STEALTH ROCK.

What fossil did you pick? Tyrunt comes with Stealth Rock and I’m betting its in the same Egg Group as T-Tar, so you could use it to create a breeding chain.
I’m gonna use Dragon Dance on my tyranitar and choice band on my second one probably.

As excited as I am, this is something that needed to be changed when BW2 came out. The concept of Defog was absolutely nonsensical and would’ve helped the metagame so much if it was changed during it.
But better late than never! It’s a shame it isn’t an HM anymore, but hopefully when the new storage thing debuts we can have a Defog Fiesta! :woot:
Arcanine will probably still be hovering around the depths of UU/RU. Infernape is much faster, gets fighting stabs, and is neutral to S/R

Shit… I messed up my Breloom. I fully EV’d it before I realized that Spore was a Pre-Evo move and Bullet Seed was an Egg Move. Now I’m stuck with

wow that is lame. substitute is fine, although really sucks that you don’t have spore. lack of bullet seed on technician is like, a pretty real problem ;_; can’t even run sub/seed without poison heal/ev reset bag.
