Sylveon is a pretty good Fairy… Base 130 SpD and Base 110 SpA, plus it gets Calm Mind, Psyshock, Misty Terrain, and Pixelate.
^Power-up punch nyukkah
Brick Break is straight too if double screens are common, but technician power-up punch is the best option so far…
I run Brick Break over Superpower regardless.
Nope. It would be even more broken if it got that
Superpower was some ass on Scizor, it took away both of its strong suits of attack and defense, fuck that move all the way.
@Phantom I thought he got that move lol? It is what it is though…
However, Superpower can OHKO a Heatran iirc, other than that, Heatran is a certified check against him.
With the existence of Assault Vest though, Heatran is expected to have straight investment in Special Attacks and Speed instead of special defense and HP, unless everybody is running old Smogon sets(I expect it)
In that case, Heatran outspeeds Scizors original and megaform and instakills him and proceeds to run train. Heatran is still the anti-metagame pokemon, even after losing 2 resistances, he still rapes this time around thanks to the new item.
I added a bit of info on Typings to the OP. if someone wants to find a type chart for me I’d be grateful.
Thhhhank you!
Yeah Heatran usage will skyrocket. 4x Fairy resist, Scizor check, and only takes neutral from the Pebbles…
Still loses to Azumarill, doe… Azumarill is turning into one of my favorite Pokemon for some reason…
As a bulky tank Chomp, it can be pretty good. As a regular sweeper Chomp, you’re better of using regular Chomp. Mega Chomp is just too damn slow, and I CAN compare him to Kyurem-B because it has the same problem. People thought it would be so amazing on paper until they actually tried it out.
@popimpus, I just raised a 31 Attack IV Adamant Azumarill with Aqua Jet bred onto it. I can breed you a Marill to train if you want.
Can I get one? Unfortunately, I just started the game, so I really don’t have anything worthy to trade.
Back in Gen V, I noticed that Kyurem had average speed and defense plus 4 weaknesses, not to mention a stealth rock weakness. High attack but very OHKO’able. I really didn’t care for him much at all, and now he’s even worse on paper due to the fairy type.
Garchomp on the other hand only had 2 weaknesses, was faster, and could cover more threats. There was literally no reason to use any of the Kyurems unless you were running an all dragon team(btw that team I made won consistently). The only tactic I had with Kyurem was Adamant Choice Scarf Outrage.
I was like “Damn, this dude can’t even learn EQ, I thought every dragon got that move”.
Metagross can still get the job done, but no doubt he took a couple of big hits these past few generations. More and more you see Metagross reduced to the supporter role, he still has the resistances and bases to pull it off.
lol is azumarill the new hype
To Kyurem’s credit he now handles Togekiss far better than Garchomp can.
@ninjanuity- I would very much like a Marill… I’ve been busy cleaning up the fourth gym and Power Plant quest, so I missed your post.
Do you frequent the IRC chat?
@phantasy- It’s mainly me hyping up the Aqua Rabbit. I was just looking for things that could handle potential threats and I noticed that Azumarill’s typing, movepool, and Ability give it plenty of tools for checking a lot of the potentially overused mons like Blaziken, Heatran, Garchomp and unofficial Smogon mascot Tyranitar.
It’s a decent check to those guys as a switch-in on the Fire types or Chomp Dragon Claw, T-Tar Crunch and can threaten a KO on them.
I’m on right now if you want. 5300-8534-5872.
If anyone needs a good Marill, I got 'em.
irc chat imo
Cool. I’ll hit you up. FC: 3153-4603-1058
