SRK Car Thread (Show it off or ask questions)

I’m glad to see this as well. I really want Dodge to succeed in their market space.

I heard you can get similar performance numbers in a Hellcat after mods and you’ll spend less money than a new Demon.

I think their cool cars, but I doubt I’d ever see myself at a drag strip.

not possible

demon is the fastest straightline car at 2.3 ish 0-60. My friend has a Hellcat with 1000 wheel horsepower and he doesn’t come close to touching the demon. Demon is engineered from the bottom up to eat anything alive, more power, and hybrid suspesnions offered by aftermarket companies don’t cut it.

We’ll see if you’re right later on.

It’s like this guy doesn’t understand the difference between a 9.8 sec and 9.6
It’s like this guy doesn’t even science…
A ZL1 running 9’s would reqruie tens of thousands of dollars on upgrading the transmission, axles, and supsension.

Does this dude even car?

NHRA rules don’t make you put a cage if your car is that fast from the factory. Does this dude even drag race??

I had to quit the video when he got to reason 3. A ZL1 with mods and nitrous will run 9s all day long?!?!?

When he made that comparison of that car to the Demon, I LOLed, hit a thumbs down, and kept it moving.

That’s Vehicle Virgins for you

Hahaha! Well, if this guy is completely full of shit and no hellcat that was built under the cost of a demon can’t beat its times than I’ll agree and move on. BUT if it is possible, I can assume what the reaction of people that admire the car will say

It is possible, but consider the following

Demon is a California Smog Legal car, buying a ZL1 or Hellcat and making it remotely competive means you car is no longer street legal. If you want a comparable car, which even at its absurd price point doesn’t come close to competing

55k on top of 80k

Yeah the fact that the Demon is street legal is amazing. Excessive and unnecessary. American.

09 chally getting in the 7’s.

honestly looks to take a bit more than just a few thousand dollars in mods to get that done. Depending on the tolerances of the parts in the car who knows how many things would need to be replaced.

Trying abs cement on my fairings. Its not going to look nice up close but it will hopefully get the job done of patching the cracks

Going to ride a track day this weekend before I start my new job.

I can give you a full list if you want

edit:

this is not a street legal Challenger. What they bought from the dealer you had a bill of sale when you paid cash for it.

Well the stuff did its job as 99% of the cracks are now bonded and holding strong. I’d post pics but it looks like shit. I’ll have to figure something later on, maybe have a professional body and paint guy re-do it but for now I’m happy to be able to ride it tomorrow

No one is saying that any of these cars come from the factory can run 7s. Though Dodge over the past few years would come out with a drag pack that wasn’t street legal.

Changed my engine oil, tranny and diff oil today (BRZ, Eff-Tee HachiRoku sugoi senpai). Also noticed my coolant level was low.

Can’t believe this puppy need 6 quarts of oil, good grief. My Hondas only needed 4. Tranny oil came out clean, but my diff oil came out grey maybe some water got in there somehow, who knows. Engine oil came out a black, I must have red lined one too many times haha.

My mechanic was shitting on me cuz my intervals were relatively small but upon seeing the old oil, I was like “biiiiitch I know what I’m talking about”

This is for everyone who has ever owned or driven an rx7. Here is the rx vision:

Here’s a couple pics from my last track day

Really wanted to ride a legit race track this season but things came up this year/decided to make a big career change that involves going back to school in the fall.

Though once I’m through with school, I’m hoping that my career that follows will allow me the opportunities to get into club racing. A typical weekend is around $700(race fees, tires, lodging, etc). So its not a cheap hobby, but compared to racing cars, its not so bad.

Plan is racing 600 supersport class, either R6, zx6r, or gsxr. I dont have any goals to podium or even do well my first race season except not to try to crash a ton. Just want to see what the hype is about from guys that tell me its where its at when it comes to sport bikes.

Been thinking of trading my street bike for the track bike I’ve posted about it. Thrashed collector bike, but as I’m now thinking more into the future and any sentimental value I had went toppling over with the bike last crash, i am really considering on a even trade or sell it.

Riding the roads here are getting lame by the year and there is only so much mediocre back road riding that can be enjoyable and eventually becomes a stale experience.

I’ll still keep the bike this summer but if the right deal happens, I’ll be test riding around the block on a race prepped R6.
