I’ve only done go karting, but I really want to drive around road courses. I was actually not doing bad for my first go-karting experience. Go-karting would be a good way to learn the basics like timing, breaking, acceleration, and line taking.
Cheers fellas, if I see one that’s offered on a race course I’ll jump at the opportunity.
Aventador SV review
So apparently that lap around the Nürburgring was done with minimal prep. The article on Autocar websitesays the errors made during the 6:59 lap time cost the car about 3 to 4 seconds! That would make it quicker than the 918 which had tonnes of prep time. Insanity
I’ll shut up about bike stuff for a while since this is a CAR thread, but this might be interesting to those that have been knocking down on the big H:
People were bitching about this bike on facebook and reddit saying that it only makes 101hp(after getting the sport kit, the power is over 200hp) and how some dummies claim they could make a better bike with the amount of money it cost to buy one(yeah, so they know the in and outs of a GP bike, have the engineering skills to cover all aspects of the bike, and have the technology to replicate similar components; GTFO! ). This bike is the closest thing to what Marc Marquez, Dani Pedrosa, and the CRT guys riding their factory bikes. If I was a billionaire, I’d get the unpainted carbon version with the race kit and a garage spot at COTA.
Watching the Nurburgring videos after checking out that Lambo record. The new civic Type R also made a time:
Also, for those that never saw this:
The gyro cam makes it look amazing, want to put this on a track bike when I get the funds for one!
I don’t have a problem with the motorbike talk.
Gyro cam makes it far too scary for me to want to ever do lol
I’m not brave enough to ride a motorcycle. You motorcyclist must have nerves of steel and hardly feel fear.
Tbh, it’s not riding that scares the shit out of me… It’s the fact I know people don’t check blind spots and just merge and do shit that’s unsafe to me.
I agree, so many people not knowing the fundamentals of commuting that can be a hinder to everyone else and a bigger danger to those that ride. Lots of guys I know ended up quit riding street all together and just do track days/racing. I try to minimize commuting around town on the bike and more hitting back/county roads and a few track days out of the season. It’s a risk, but like the saying goes ‘The brave may not live forever, but the cautious never live at all.’
Just bought a 2012 Accord coupe

I should go to a cars and coffee some time, seems like those type of cars are there. I might be converting a hearse into a “truck” if I can’t find a reasonable price elco:
Low miles, strong suspension to haul my bike(s)/equipment, and a comfy luxurious ride, also stylen’ My dad and grandfather brought up the idea on father’s day, mom doesn’t approve…
Bae…
That is a ferocious roar.
Yeah, apparently a lot of people said that those Z4’s are insanely loud. For it to be N/A as well is pretty dope. I know the Merc C63 AMG is just as loud and evil sounding. I like how some of these cars are getting that American muscle sound now and days.
Gotta also love the whine of the helical gears! For bikes, when I did a track day last week, some guy brought out a kawasaki zxr1200r that was completely rebuilt from the ground up. This is a poor example of what I heard:
His bike sounded like a raped banshee from hell, I almost wanted to cry when he was flying passed the pits.
Never thought I’d fall in love with a Merc, but the sound this produces is simply beautiful.
Might be getting a 90’s toyota truck, which a buddy has said it was the model before the tacoma’s. Also a track ready 250r ninja, all for the price of a slightly used 250, this might be a once in a lifetime deal or a big regret depending on the conditions of both vehicles as one is old, and another hasn’t been ridden since purchasing from the previous owner. Wish me luck!
fuel filters are a bitch on those things. otherwise, a strong work horse truck
