Drive was losing money because they are independent so they charged subscriptions. Youtube was ass fucking them on pay and this is the best way they an do it. Unfortunate because I enjoy it but I won’t pay. They have other revenue streams and guys who’d love to sponsor them.
The transmissions have some pretty serious issues. Its actually quite a well known issue apparently.
This is apparently the case not just with the ST but with most focus’s and fiesta’s but I know specifically because of the extra stress on the transmission in the ST it has some pretty major issues.
The car itself is a really sick car. I love it…when its working
did he drive manual? if so relevant. if not then thing isn’t an issue for me

Ya ofc he drove stick :P. I didnt think they made the ST in automatic? But that i could be wrong.
That said the tranny in those cars is weird apparently. Its like a hybrid auto/manual combination. I dont really understand how it works to be honest with you but its new and has problems.
So Dodge unveiled the 2015 Charger SRT Hellcat. Not really fond of the front end. Apparently it’ll put numbers like the Challenger variant with a curb weight over 4500lbs
I drove one aggresively and didn’t give me issues. Must check again becasue all i’ve read is that the DCT have those issues. the issues with the manual is that people aren’t pushing the pedal all the way in, or they aren’t shifting like they are supposed to, due to it being slightly diffrent style of manual transmission unique to that car.
It’s also faster than the Challenger, 11.0 seconds on regular stock tires, 204 mph. Will not turn as fast or be as sporty due to weight and center of gravity.
Also, weight is not as relevant for acceleration or top speed as it used to be. Torque multipliers are really high now in days. I’m putting money that this will sell much better than the challenger. Still wouldn’t buy one over the cadillac cts-v, that’s the sedan to get. but this car seems like a great buy, especially considering how limited BMW is, or the smaller size of the c63 507
I currently drive an 06 Charger R/T (185K and going strong). If there is one thing that has plagued my car is the body roll. So seeing this land yacht turn will be impressive. My next maintenance thing is getting the SRT suspension kit.
Something about that Challenger Hellcat just makes me wanna get one. The Charger seems to have lost the more aggressive look that it had. That hood, from the upward angle, looks busy. I know there is function for it, but seems to be a lot going on. I guess all that air it needs, you gotta get it in there somehow. Those number make you think twice though
8 gears, aggressive differential gearing, and the insane tq numbers. Also, the increased weight means the car will grip better when taking off. It’s how those boat’s BMW M6 (~4200lbs) Audi RS 8 (~4400lbs) are doing 3.8 seconds.
Also, GT3R Viper is sex, being a borderline Vette Fanboy, I think the C7.R is pure sex in a car.
I’ll keep in mind, thanks. I’m still debating if it’s worth getting a new car, or get a used sporty car. I’ll PM for details for sure if i go through with it.
Yes, my friend had one, SXT though. does roll, and is a god damn yatch. However, these SRT ones are more aggressive. but you can only do so much with that much weight. The Super Bee is suprisingly light if you’re looking at those. IIRC ~3950+lbs.
And who wouldn’t want one. Power, factory warranty, smog legal, looks bad ass. I’ve driven a Shelby GT500, let me tell you, once you experience TQ like that, it’s game over.
I like the front and back, the sides are very bland, just looks like a tissue box.
Man, ever since it was mentioned I’ve been watching vids on the modding scene for the BRZ, I’m really warming up to this car, it might be a future purchase instead of a VXR.
MN, you are the only person I know that likes the front. Everybody I know hates it. They say it’s a failed dart front end. Must be a European thing. Personally, it still looks like shit, the chargers biggest knock has always been it’s front end design.
That’s exactly what I think it looks like. A Dart, with more square footage. I know I am talking noise about this car, but the SRT Charger is an “attainable” dream car (true dream car status belongs to the Nissan GTR). Back when I bought mine, going from the 5.7 to 6.1 was about a 10-12K jump. Now, the 5.7 - 6.4 price gap is smaller (depending on if you are going for the fully loaded RT) as some R/Ts go for 40-43K and SRT Superbees are around 45K. The Challenger Hellcat’s MSRP is right at 60K so I expect to see this car around that price. I am sure that the first video of someone that actually knows how to drive, it is gonna make me hit the want button.
That supercharger whine hits me in all the right ways LOL
I wouldn’t call the GTR a dream car, but to each his own. But yes, everybody knocks it of as being a fatter bigger dart. I love the dart aesthetics, it’s a nice car. Dodge really screwed up with this car. My primary issue is with the grill, the lights are a step in the right direction. but this car looks terrible.
But you are right, this car, and a bunch of other American cars provide you with performance that the Europeans offer you at a much more affordable price, and it’s easier to replace parts.
Challenger Hellcat does the figure 8 as good as the Alfa romeo 4C. Think about that, before you say nu uh. ~4050lb car turning and gripping as good as a ~2500 lb car.
But you can get the new Charger R/T with a 6.4 for about 35K, you still get cloth seats, but you get all the power and suspension of a SRT for less. So that’s really cool.
All they really needed to do was angle the lights to give it a more aggressive stare and open the fascia a little more. The grill seems to be smushed together. Kinda like the evil toddler
The Dart is a nice car, for the market it is going for.
You are right about that Challenger though. Technically, its a beast of a car. I am sure the Charger will be as well, just not as pretty.
Oh and don’t hate on my dreams LOL. Main reason why is because there is a version of Optimus Prime that transforms into a Nissan GTR. That’s what edges it out from most other supercars.
