Alright man, I just posted it up on Mautofied. Hopefully I can get a trade or somethin. honestly I am pretty open to what people may have. I know I would love to get a Honda. Also that Honda cancer is ridiculous… Well I guess I better do my research on Honda’s and other cars…
So I got an offer of an old VW golf (too bad that isn’t what I am trying to get). Anyway. I am doing some research on some project ideas. I don know that if I get a Honda, I will go the JDM route.
remember to throw offers out yourself.
Oh yeah, thanks for the advice. man I am slippin. I will do that. Now what can you tell me about the integra… What generation is the best one?
Basically youre going to be considering 2nd gen DA (90-93) and 3rd gen DC(94-01). Mechanically similar to each other, just depends on whether you want the square style DA, or the round style DC. They all have B18 non-VTEC’s, and rear disc brakes, are a notch above Civics. Both generation have the GSR with DOHC VTEC’ but finding a 92-93 DA GSR (DB2 - B17A1) is ultra hard it is a collectors car and even when you do find one its priced well above regular 90-93’s. 94-01 GSR’s are easier to find but still priced above non-VTEC’s.
do image search of jdm da, da6 or jdm dc2, dc2 sir-g, ect get some ideas from what people have done to them in jdm style
Thanks man, I just submitted an offer for a 95 Prelude Si, but who knows, the only offer I got, wasn’t worth it. I really like the jdm style a lot. I was checking out a build of this crx, where dude put back seats into them (I thought they were only 2 seaters). Its really inspiring to see what can be done with a Honda.
They had back seats in Japan and Europe. They must have figured no 'Muricans could fit. It can take a while theres people with cars they have had up for a year plus and 50, 100+ offers.
Dude hit me up about the Prelude, it was sold last night. Though I got some people interested in buying the Bimmer as well. Whatever I get for it, I will put it towards a Honda for sure, lol.
Here’s my baby (that’s not me. that’s my bro)
$384 per month for the next 6 years… Probably will put a supercharger and some new coilovers in it somewhere down the road but right now I can barely afford the monthly on it being a college student/paid intern.
I hear putting in the BRZ’s HIDs is fairly easy. Maybe I’ll at least do that when I get the money cause imo the FR-S headlights are kinda ass.
I was thinking of waiting until the BRZ STi comes out. How’s the car though?
It’s really fun to drive. It’s basically what I wanted in the RX-8 that I had years ago, but then again my RX-8 was a strange case with a 4-speed automatic gearbox. The manual gearbox in the FR-S is probably one of the main reasons I chose it over a GTi. The throw distance is short and it clicks in nicely, making shifting feel really tidy. The ride is kinda overall is stiff and you can feel all the bumps on the road. It’s grippy in normal mode and it reminded me of driving an oversized go-kart. When I tried the VSC sport mode (Vehicle Stability Control) going through a canyon road I felt it wanting it to slide a bit more, but I wasn’t able to get traction control to kick in and correct it. I still haven’t tried turning off the traction control completely yet. I fear screwing up and looking stupid.
Practicality wise… eh… Even though the car is a “4 seater” it really should be a 2-seater because seating people in the back is still pretty difficult even though I’m 5’2 and I sit pretty close to the steering wheel. Trunk space is not bad… I could fit my electric guitar and/or (maybe) 40 watt amp without folding the backseats down. Mileage is alright I guess. I average 27-28ish mpg, much better than the 21 mpg I got while driving my little brothers WRX and the 20ish that my RX-8 got at the end of its life. The audio system is surprisingly good despite how cheesy and aftermarket-y it looks. My main gripe with it is that it runs alot better with iPhones compared to other smartphones.
That’s a f’ing nice car crimsonARIA!
We had about 3 inches of snow drop this morning
lol

Any recommendations for snow tyres. My car is front wheel drive if that matters.
Is there a problem with a car sitting in the garage for a long period of time? When I occasionally start it up and move it, I hear this odd grinding sound that appears to be coming from underneath the car. I took a look underneath, but I didn’t see anything wrong. This grinding wasn’t happening before I stopped driving my car. My car’s a 2003 Honda Civic LX.
Have you checked the springs/suspension they could be rusty or need greasing???
That might be it, I’m not sure. I won’t know until I take it in to the shop once I’m able to drive my car again.
@FMABB - Hey man I just got the green light to get a lude. The only question I have is, what mileage do I want to avoid? I understand the lower the better, but what should I not consider for a 4th or 5th gen?
Bought a 2013 Genesis Coupe cause it’s everything I want in a car all in one. Sporty, powerful, lot of base amenities, roomy, comfortable, sexy (subjective), good on gas (for the power), lots of fun to drive, and somewhat luxurious all under $25k. And top it off with the best warranty in the industry you can’t beat it.
I just couldn’t find any other brand new car under $25k with all those things.
Test drove an FR-S and I liked it too but was missing a lot. Only thing it has going for it is it’s sporty, sexy, lots of fun. Missing 7 other things on my check list the Genesis has.
Test drove the 2012 Mustang v6 and I liked it too but again it has a shitty interior. If I’m gonna spend 100% of my time driving INSIDE the car then obviously I want a good quality interior and the Genesis has the best one out of these 3.
These are track model interiors. I got the base model but it looks identical except for the nav.
Nice pick up on the Genesis. However I like the pre facelift look better.
It’s a Honda. Mileage doesnt matter. Rust and oil burning are going to be your biggest factors in determining if one is good enough.
I looked at the 2010-2012 Genesis too and the interior in those suck as well. 2.0T also felt under-powered, even more so than the FR-S.
