I put in some good laps in the pool today. I attempted to lift weights afterwards but I think I’ve taxed my body far too much last week.

well

Spoiler

did HIIT training 4 out of 7 days which is bad, it should be near daily routine. Of two of those days, I ran a mile, and on the third I did sprints over a mile. Way diffrent than jogging or running a mile. Even though I can do a mile, this sprinting thing is such a diffrent load. I split the mile into

20 sec sprint 20 sec walk x3
20 sec sprint 1 minute rest
20sec sprint 40 sec intervals x 3

My goal for sprinting is to be able to near sprint the mile. 5 min sounds good. However, I need to be careful beacause my knee feels off. I put to much of a load that day, so much that my knee would hurt with heavy plyometrics.

On two days, in the morning I did 3 min jump rope nonstop, followed by 30 pushups, 30 bicycle sit ups, 15 squats with a back pack full of books and a 40 pound resistance band, followed by 30 forearm curls.

as for diet…coke isn’t a necessity any more, i’d rather avoid it. Sugars are being kept to a minimal although I did slip one day with some ice cream and choclate chip cookies, and today when I ate pizza, which is no bueno.

chest 43 -> 42
Biceps 15 -> 14 3/4
Waist 43 -> 42 1/2
Hips 42 -> 41 1/2
Thighs stayed the same

DAT BUMP…

im been doing ok, dropping some pounds but im not being consistent like I should be with the eating, I think what I am going to do since I dont count calories is just have a meal but drink water to fill me up afterwards instead of gettings seconds

Good work, keep it up! You won’t start to see real changes until at least 5 weeks or so, really 2 months, so don’t get discouraged. But you will probably already start to feel a lot better after 2 weeks.

You don’t need to do HIIT every day especially when you’re first starting. My body doesn’t recover yet every day, in fact I’m not sure if people’s bodies recover quickly the older they get. Things like creatine and other supplements help with that, but I think for a real lifelong change, it’s best not to rely on supplements and just see what you can do so your body can exercise every day. Probably around the 2 month mark your body can recover every day.

I think that i gained 3 lbs of wight with this holiday :shake:

You know, instead of looking at water weight fluctuations, y’all should focus on reconstituting your body which happens in the time scale of 3 years~ish. It takes time with one thing at a time. Just Saiyan.

AND it will continue every sunday

im kinda used to it already, been doing that for a year. and already seen lots of results, i just got lazy for 5 months though, so I need to up the intensity.

This is going to be tough, I actually gained two puunds in the past two weeks, Havent been working out to much, Right now my biggest issue is my diet. I skip lunch and breakfast, and eat dinner to late at night. I have to readjust myself. I’ll post my complete update tomorrow.

I’m losing weight! Soon I’m going to need anchors on my shoes to weigh me down when ever it is windy outside. Picking up my dad’s schwinn this weekend and start riding around the trails by my place.

Of course, i know that my weight will fluctuate some range, but is the fact that i didn’t make exercises during the holidays and while i didn’t eat like a pig, i didn’t eat like on diet either =w=

Down 6 pounds. I’m taking in pretty easy just trying to workout at least 4 times a week and to cook most of my meals. Going pretty well so far.

I’m not gonna lie my workout game has been slipping for the past week and a half. I’ve been drinking a lot and that always leads to poor eating choices. I’ll be on the grind again once i get back home.

I’m down about 2 pounds. I slipped hard at the beginning but things are looking up. Bad news is school is ending next week so I won’t have access to that gym for a while unless :confused:

So far been taking it really light. I need to start exercising more often due to my work schedule I’ve had some days were I skip. So far haven’t lost any weight need to get more serious into this.

I’ve been sick like a dog =’(

^ same here. Last weekend was one of the shittiest weekends I’ve had. Got the fever and passed out right before midnight Friday and ever since then got the cold. shit sucks.

Checking in. I missed working out for 6 days during Easter weekend on a trip to SF. I’ve been doing barbell exercises every other day. I’m not raising the amount of weight used, just trying to do more repetitions when i feel i can push more. I just barely started to make veggie smoothies this week. Two carrots, one apple, a zucchini and a hand full of spinach. It’s not the best tasting thing in the world, but I feel a bit more alert and awake in the day now. I’ve dropped the ball on the sprinting, which I want to get started in a couple days. I’m also doing shoulder, back and hip stretches on the days I’m not working the barbell.

I’m beginning to notice that my body looks a bit leaner, muscles a little bit bigger too. I still have a long way to go though. Either way I’m just happy to be more active nowadays.

Been doing push ups and sit ups as soon as I wake up and still not even close to what I was able to do in the military. Have friends egging me on to party this weekend so I’m going to make an exception on the smoking, but quit for sure come next week. I think my throat has had enough with smoke of any kind, want to be smoke free by the time I do my first track day in a few weeks. Other than that, still going to pick up a bicycle and get into clearing up my respiratory system.

i took a break from the gym last week. i’ve read that its good to do that every few months to give your muscles a break. i’m having a hard time keeping sweets out of my diet, specifically mexican pastries and mexican cola. i started back up at the gym yesterday and added 5 pounds to alot of my lifts so good progress there. i think i’ll focus on cardio for the last two months of the season. i have some friends planning soccer games for this summer which i should prepare for. i was a big show-off in high school when it came to soccer and they would give me alot shit if i sucked now

Hey guys. I know I didn’t sign up, but I am watching. Doing work. Keep it up :tup:.
