5:50AM, going to the gym, I want to go back to bed. ;__;
why is that tho?
this diet sucks ass, I have been maintaining but sometimes I fall off the wagon but I know im not going to give up just have to push harder
how does diet supplements take into effect? I keep getting offers for them by random gym dudes
ive done herbalife and some guy wants me to do body by vi, ill do it only because he actually gave me some samples and I said I would.smh
Gym at 6am was really nice, none of that circus going around.
I would advise forgoing “diet supplements” and ______ and take that money and invest into some real food. If you couldn’t make it Two hundred years ago then it’s not food.
ill end up ordering it down the line once bills are cleared I don’t want to leave the guy hanging after all that talk we had
I didn’t enter the contest but started the same time…I have lost about 26lbs w/ just a change of diet, been working on yard work for my exercise…Will probably start lifting & doing some interval training next month.
See, that’s still hard for me.
I’m eating much better. I eat most of my meals at home and they include a wide variety of vegetables and proper sources of carbs and fat. Not eating candy, cookies, and ice cream at the levels I used too, and keeping it at a minimum.
I’m incorporating weights in my HIIT that involves impact training excersices and body resistance…
I need to go hard (on diet) for at least one month. One fucking month.
I might do the 2nd round (if there is one) Need motivating to hit the gym again.
I would be so down if there is a season 2! Never caught this thread as I lurk throughout SRK. Lol.
Oh that’s pretty easy to explain actually. There are different types of sugar. The stuff you eat in fruit for the most part is absorbed very quickly by the body and used up right away. This is not true for say even juice, and certainly not the majority of processed foods that have loads of sugar in them.

I have stopped lifting weights and exercising and have just been dieting the past couple of weeks. I believe I officially started this diet July 1st and I’m down about 10 lbs. If I add in exercise I wonder if I can get it down quicker. Some of it might be water weight and muscle loss, I’m not sure, but at least it’s going the right direction. I need roughly 20 more lbs of fat off before I’d begin to feel comfortable again, and more importantly can fit back into my trial lawyer suits so I can start making some quick cash again (I could theoretically buy some more suits but I don’t want to have a fat person wardrobe and a regular one). Of course I could also go back to making money the slow grindy way that made me fat in the first place, but I think I may have had enough of being a desk jockey for awhile.
sorry for the late check-in, i got busy with some stuff over the last few days. heres my before and after

my weight stayed roughly the same around 194 but i feel like i’ve put at least 4 pounds of muscle on. i did a body fat percentage test recently at my local 24 hour fitness and they said i was at about 17.2% which dosen’t make sense because i started at 17%~. i feel like the guy might’ve rigged up the little machine that they had. i got a pitch for a personal trainer package and free consultation very soon after my test.
thanks to all of the guys who participated in this thread and in the challenge. i’d expected better results for myself after three months but my budget and time constraints really got in the way sometimes. i probably enjoyed the nutrition aspect of it the most. cooking my own nutritious meals with natural ingredients felt good.
If there’s a season 2 I will definitely participate. The only reason I stopped was because I just was on and off with my diet and I kept binging on pizza and alcohol.
I’ve been stepping up my workouts in the gym. I hit every muscle group twice a week and I do cardio 3 times a week. My diet has been getting better as well (I haven’t had one slice of pizza in over a month.) I stopped eating in the morning too so now I just eat twice a day which is great for me. I’m sitting at about 14% BF right now but I gotta get it down to 8%.
