Good games to those at Meta last night. I appreciate all the knowledge that is shared so freely. I might be able to level up my game after all.
Also, don’t forget that this Sunday is the tournament at 1984. You can register at www.mwmixup.com with a Paypal account, or you can bring cash to 1984. Check in is from 9:30 to 10:30 AM on Sunday. Hope to see you all there.
Torrey, Markus and Dennis, I sent you each a message about the tournament this Sunday. Just wanted you to know in case you guys haven’t logged in in a while. Everything seems to be coming together for an awesome weekend!
Damn man, my weekend is all planned out. I might not make it this Sunday or any of the future sunday on any event. Sorry guys, I’ll try to go to this as my last sunday event, other than that, I’ll see you guys on saturday afternoon.
Quick question about 1984 this sunday - do you need us to bring more setups? I don’t see it mentioned anywhere, and I know I have a ps3 to bring. If you’ve got plenty I won’t worry about it, but usually the more setups the better.
I’m not going to be able to make it out to Next-Level tomorrow. My wife’s parents aren’t available to watch my daughter this week, which means I’ll be staying home and taking care of her. My daughter is awesome, but it’s nice to take a break once a week and play some games.
I still plan on playing in the Puzzle Fighter tournament on Sept. 24, though!
Hey guys, I’m fairly new to the fighting scene. Wondered what kind of setups you run at events, ps3, xbox360, etc. I tried to read as much as I could to get info throughout the thread so sorry if I missed these answers.
Currently I have class on Mondays so i am out on those but would like to catch other events in the future.
Good games to everybody at the Midwest Mixup tournament this Sunday. Warden stole the show by winning 5 of the 6 games that we played and Markus continued his dominance as the BlazBlue Champion. There are some names that we should just get used to seeing at the top. Here are the results.

Thanks to everyone that came out to the 1984 Arcade and a special thanks to those that brought equipment and games. We had a great time and look forward to seeing you all again at the next one.
We have setups for both. I usually bring my 360 on Saturdays and Mondays (though I’ll no longer be able to attend Mondays after the beginning of November), and 1 or 2 people bring a PS3. But yeah, come on out when you can, we’d love to have you out!
If there’s any time left over after the tourney matches this weekend, would one of you BB guys care to give me a few pointers? I just started to pick the game up seriously an I’ve managed to eek out a few wins with my Jin, but I can tell I’m just not grasping the game, no matter how many Dustloop forums I read.
You should come out to Next Level Games this Saturday. We’ll be running a tourney, but even if you don’t want to participate there will be casuals running all day as well. Whatever game you like to play we should have it on hand - our scenes are currently small for MK/Arcana Heart/Tekken but I’ll play them with you if nobody else is.
I’m bringing it back old-school in Blaz. Although it might as well be new school, with how much the character has changed since then.
I’ve since learned that Akuma and Devilot are re-balanced for Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix’s X’ mode (Akuma receives 120% damage while Devilot deals 85% damage), so I’m not opposed to players using them in the tournament.
And apparently I just made up “Power Sakura” because I can’t find any reference to the cheat on GameFAQs for any version of Puzzle Fighter. Maybe I just made it up…?
Sorry i couldn’t make it to midwest mixup- hope it was a success! Good shit Warden!
I would double check on the allowing akuma in the puzzle fighter tournament. If i’m not mistaken what makes him so dominant is his block drops so taking more damage may not nullify that since his pattern is so tough.
^ It was nothing, really. Those results are just about the full list of entrants, lol. There were a few more for Blaz and MVC3, but it was a very small turnout. Still a good time, though!
