Do I need to bring anything to Next-Level tomorrow to make sure I get to play Puzzle Fighter casuals against my fellow puzzle fans?
@Gypsy I always loved using Q, but he is honestly one of the worst characters. If you can get past that, he is a lot of fun. Remember that taunting actually has mechanical benefits in 3S, and is particularly noticeable with Q if you can sneak in 3…
GGs to everyone at Next-Level today. Was a blast getting to play some TvC and Puzzle Fighter and the SSFIV matches were fun, too. I feel like I’m very, very slowly getting better at the game, which is encouraging. I still lose most matches, but I win a round here and there.
I’m planning to bring my laptop next week to play Jamestown, so bring a USB gamepad (preferably one that won’t require installing drivers) if you’re interested in playing. I’ll be using my Logitech F710 and I have 2 spare Gravis Gamepad Pros. Push comes to shove, someone can use a FightStick SE or TE to play since my laptop supports those controllers without any additional drivers.
Oh, believe me, I’ve been taking some YouTube Kuroda lessons, lol. That defense boost is a godsend, so I taunt x3 ASAP. It’s even an honorary part of my BnB: Command grab, EX Dash Punch, s.HK/normal Dash Punch, Taunt.
It’s looking like Alex is the most fun for me though, but I hear he’s hard to win with too.
I know right!?!?! I was trying that Senpusha FADC U2, after AE, and now it will work!
Sorry Peter, these pain meds have kept me up for long periods of time, and ended up falling asleep at three yesterday afternoon, and not waking up until this morning. I should be able to get some TF2 in next week though. 3
P.S. I CAN’T WAIT FOR THE AE CHANGES
P.S.S. Darkfall is consuming my life
Making an update! We’re going to go ahead and add Third Strike, and see if we can get enough to play. Of course, we’ll add it as a mid-tier.
eVile, I wante to give you an update about our tournament. We are having the tournament on Sunday the 18th at 1984. I have talked with them and they are going to work with us as far as attendance. There have been several to sign up in the last couple of days. Sorry for the confusion. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help with your tournament at Next-Level.
No worries. We’ll just push back to the 24th again.
Just a reminder: If you have a USB gamepad, bring it with you to Next-Level today. I’ll be playing Jamestown and looking for 3 other people to play coop with me.
I got a USB Saturn pad and of course my 360 sticks I’ll have there.
Also, just FYI, make sure you put Steam in Offline Mode BEFORE you come out (while you still have a net connection anyway). I found out from bringing my PC one Monday that Steam can’t be put into offline mode unless you have an active net connection.
Good deal.
Does the Saturn pad require any drivers?
Aye, I just put Steam in offline mode a few minutes ago, so I’m good to go.
I’m going to finish up lunch then head that way shortly after.
GGs to everyone at Next-Level today. Some great SSFIV matches and some really, really fun Jamestown runs. I’m looking forward to trying the fourth level on Divine difficulty with 4 players.
Speaking of which, I had said that I’d bring my laptop with me next week. That was before I remembered that I may have family in town next week and therefore probably won’t be at Next-Level on the 10th.
Barring any unforeseen circumstances, I’ll be there with laptop and Jamestown ready to rock on the 17th.
Man, that was a great Saturday! I wish I got more sleep the night before (or any, for that matter), because I was really feeling BB that day! SSF4 was decent, but I was a lot more happy with my Litche madness.
Sorry NLG!!! I completely forgot about my “tab” last tourney. I had to leave on such short notice, it slipped my mind…
Final Round 15 Qualifier #3 announced! Win badges, byes, and possibly airfare to FR15! Plus $$$
Kansas City - 12/17/2011
Well, I didn’t make it to Next-Level yesterday because I had family in town, but I was thinking I’d try to make it out to Meta-Games Monday night. What time does that start and what should I bring with me (e.g. PS3 controller for Puzzle Fighter, laptop and USB gamepads for Jamestown)?
Meta starts at 7 /officially/ but some of us like Josh, Clint, Torrey and me head up there earlier (5-6ish).
And just bring whatever you want to, man. It’s what I do. >.>
Hey guys. Sorry Saturdays is looking pretty grim right now. I’ll probably make it to tournaments on saturdays now if I get a chance.
Oof, starting at 7 p.m. means I’d probably be getting home after 9 p.m. (Staying any less than 2 hours when the round trip is ~45 minutes seems a tad silly.) I usually help my wife get our daughter ready for bed, so I may sit this one out.
I still plan on being at Next-Level this Saturday, though!
